How can my friend and I avoid having to pay this fee when we want to communicate?

dont vorrie about it mate :) after a few hours of playing you will notice that 100 isk is so little you wont even notice it

actually, wrong way around.
THEY have to have YOU in their address book for you to not pay the isk.
basically, both you and your mate should "buddy" each other - so noone pays the isk. -----

Get yourself in a good corp Wurrzag. Or do some agent missions - that should help bosst your cash.
Recruitment removed, corp recruitment is only allowed in the Corp forum - Wrangler

The tutorials were generous to me. Then after that just mission mission mission. Im living comfortably now. I got some good bank. Plenty of loot and 44 skills bought and memmed.
Never bothered with mining so im really not sure if its more profitable. Prolly is.. who knows.
Working the agent system. Try to get a cheap condor or something (or equivalent for your race) so you can get a couple of 125mm railguns. Range your rat opponents. Dont fight the missle launching rats until you get something better then that though =). Just bug out if you get those.
Watch who you work for. (This part may be superstition) Missions roughly match who your working for. Work for construction companys and such if you want more deliveries. Work for "Space Patrol" or your races equivalent if you want lots of fighting. I would say working for "Spacelane Patrol" for the caldari about 3/4ths of my missions are combat. I get more combat with spacelane patrol then I did working for the navy. that might just be coincidence though.

Doing loads of agent missions, and also learnt the social skill to level three, makes my payouts and bonuses a lot bigger
Plus i've found a really good "something" that I can buy for 2400 each in one system and sell for 3300 each in another only 7 jumps away...my cargo only holds 135 as well, getting my bestower today, probaly be a multi-millionaire by tomorrow...I hope

oww the good ol days of cargo running .. :D used to be highly profitable , nowadays the supply/demand in npc stations is just too low :/ (used to do 20mil pure profit off robotics in a matter of hours)

It'd get too boring if you could make that much money so easy, I like that I have to work for what I get

I have been playing for about 5 days and I have racked up over 500,000ISK in kills alone. I just bought a condor and 2 125mm guns. Just mine for a bit to get the money. Then go hunting rat. They are only worth a little apeice but the stuff they can leave behind is paydirt.

Do some Agent Missions to make money. It's not uncommon to make over 200-700K a day doing them _______________________________________________

Try and get Social and Fast Talk skills. Fast Talk skill increases rewards. Both regular rewards and the speed bonus reward when its money that you recieve
