So the other day I tested my mega on freddys phoon. I was hitting him for 40-60 damage on average and then he says that X from a different corp was hitting him for 400 and 500.
How is this possible?
I have 3m in gunnery and Ujagar and mr X are around the same age.
I'm thinkin freddy got it wrong but I just want an extra opinion here.

Did the phoon change it's resists in any way? Also, it's possible the other person had more gunnery SP than you, and maybe more damage mods, therefore doing more damage. Perhaps he had bigger guns as well. Neutrons for instance, instead of Ions or Electrons. Maybe he was using a different ammo type. Faction ammo, or Tech II.
Oh yeah and what were you shooting at? Shield, armour, structure? And what was the other Megathron shooting at? If he was shooting at shields and you were shooting at armour, there is going to be a difference.

if its for pvp mate u need to fid this never run active takes all ur cap and with max skills u can last maybe 1 min so here it is and im sure he fit all kinetic and thermal hardners in his armor

i got 10m sp in gunnery and hit 400's to 900's perfect is about 1400 but your friend fit all kinetic and thermal so id be hitting like 100's -200's so just jam him and kill him then laugh at the ***** for confusing u

Could be that the person you fought knows what type of ship you were going to fly and tanked Kinetic/Thermal?
If he doesn't fit a proper pvp tank the test is not valid and is pretty much a waste of time.

3 mill in gunnery is a very low amount in sp. You cant use T2 large turrets with that much. In order to do that damage you must put at least 5 - 7 mill in gunnery alone.
take about 20-40 days to train to be able to do 100's damage.
Also the ammo is very important as well.

Phoon didn't change fittings and both "tests" we're damage dealt to phoons armor. Mr. X was only a few months older than I so I was just curious whether or not that amount of damage was possible.
As his fittings are unknown its hard to solve how he dealt that much damage taking his age in consideration. U think its possible if he just specialised in gunnery?

the kinda important thing to know here would such things as, what was your setup.
if mr x was flying something like posted above, neutrons and void or heck. modal neutrons/ions and navy antimatter and 3xmfsII and all support skills to a minimum of 4, ofc also gal bs lvl 4-5 and you'll be looking at very powerful hits.

Ahh yes ofc - I was using neutrons with antimatter and one mag stab + tracking computer.

Well, with a mega and 3xmfs and neutrons/ions modal and navy ammo iam looking at 200-300 hits vs 50% resistish. No idea if void realy would up it to 400-500 on average hits, it dosent feel like it O_O
add such goodies as surgical strike 5, gallente bs 5 and youll probably be up there, and if its a couple of months difference in age that is possible to fit in there, unless you ofc already have thoose in which cases i go rest under a rock or say your buddy was taking lots of good hits.

On my t2 Neutron thron i havent done 400-500 damage as my normal shots on resisted BS but around 300, excllent hits scorch for 480 or so. If he fitted dual kin/therm hardners to test you thats probbably why you do so little damage, and Caldari navy/Fed navy Antimatter > void. also are you using t2 or t1 guns it makes a big difference.
