Well obviously not talking about bob or other big players, but more about the smaller not so well know alliances.
Do you consider joining/allying with alliances based on the impression their experts make on evetv? If your lookign for a new corp does performance of teams or experts influence your decision?
Do alliances doing good in the tourny notice a increase in people trying to join them?
Just wondering how big of an impact this whole tourny will have, personally teams fielding stuff like 5 deimos or several ammar turret ships instead of boring generic missile/drone spammers receive quite an amount of bonus points for me. If they win fights with that even better .

It's like with AUDI in Le Mens
I actually think it has an effect if someone was alliance shopping for PVP . ... however personal networks will still play the bigger role, I do think tho that the top possitions will see an increase in corp applications..

I kinda find myself learning alot about alliances with this tourny, never heard of atlas before for example, now i not only know they can do well in a tourney, i also know abit about their history and where their pilots come from.
Probs to the experts.

It depends how much I knew about them before the tournie.
Some alliances the only thing I know about them is the alliance tournie, so my knowledge is 100% tournie related and for some reason i take great store in what i see.
If it is a carebear alliance and they do badly, I dont think, "they did well for a carebear alliance" i think "they suck".
Other alliances i know very well and their tournie efforts are of interest just to poke some gentle fun at them at some point.
I'd imagine being successful in the tournie improves recruitment requests.
Equally "birds of a feather". If the alliance comes over as a bunch of total fools, then fools will apply.

Edited by: Sgt Zim on 08/09/2007 21:34:20 well, red skull only had a handful of members upto a month ago( think the count is over 400 now)
Entering a team does give you something to aim for and give a bit of purpose for a while
what to do afterwards then becomes a burning issue ;) especially when you get dumped out in the group stages lol
This event is much more inclusive in my opinion. It dosen't massively favour the rich mega-allainces as much as previous events
roll on next year - great job GM Nova for sorting the points system (and putting up with the trolls)
