Women don't fart do they?
Would you say EVE is more suitable to women due to the violence being remote and clinical rather than a close up bloody mess?
Let me rephrase that as my intention were not to pass judgment on whether they should be 'allowed' to play, rather is it better suited to the atypical woman psyche...

Overall a pretty bizarre article, I can't really vouch for this, as I am not a 40 yr old woman and I dont know any 40 yr old women playing... the article stated online games however "word and puzzle games" ...thats not video games... and who cares if a mother of 3 sits up late night playing solitare ____________________________

Actually, I do buy this. But they are probably not playing EVE.
There are these online games with various word-puzzles, and things like that. You can download them via RealPlayer and such. I don't know much about these things (any more than your average 40 year old woman might be expected to know about EVE) but they are typically a kind of puzzle game you either play with someone online or against someone online... Usually over a free service like Yahoo or something (where you end up being fed advertisements as you play).
So when they say "online gamers" I don't think it means what you think it means.
That said, people should care about this. Not the EVE developers per se, as this game clearly isn't developed for that demographic. But if I were, say, the maker of MonistatÖ, you can rest assured I'd take a more active interest in those online games than EVE.
Wouldn't you?
