there should be 2 new ship types 1 in between a cruiser and a frigate (faster and less powerful than a cruiser and slower and more powerful than a frigate) and it could be called a corvette(example: could have between 3 and 4 hi slots(turrets))
and the other could be between a cruiser and a battleship (faster and less powerful than a battleship and slower and more powerful than a cruiser)and could be called a destroyer(example: could have between 5 and 6 hi slots(turrets))
and these would be to kindof equal out the universe

Why? cruisers are cheap and good in combat support of battleships, frigates are good in scouting. What this new class do? They will be bad scouts and not even as combat worthy as cruisers... great idea
Smaller than bs, bigger than cruiser... what for? if specialized as for example drone carrier with minimal offence capabilities than yes good idea, but simply nerfed battlships? no

I will agree that there definitely need to be more ships in this game. The new Interceptor class is kinda what you asked for, but I am sorely disappointed that they just retextured ships they already have. I WANT MORE EYE CANDY!!!!

I agree, I think the new "Inty's" class will serve players well in the comminng months. I say Months because I think its going to take most people MONTHS to train to use them, I can understand Frigate level 5 to fly them But I wish that would be the only level 5 skill needed, Evasive Manuevering 5 is going to take forever unless you have already trained it for some wierd reason.
Would be interested to hear how many others are already trained up to fly them. and how long it will take.
Also, My psychology Teacher always told me you should answer yourself when you talk to yourself. Otherwise you are saying that you do not exist....

It'll only take max of 1 month to get to Frigate 5 and Evasive Manuvering 5. That is unless your dumb and you don't have a horribly low Perception and Willpower and never trained up those 2 learning skills.

Remember that the other elite frigates have other prerequisite skills -- for instance, bombers require missile launcher operations and gunships require engineering. As such, practically all combat pilots will be well-suited for both. The only hurdle is frigate piloting V.
Now -- as for your desires, Gorbo -- check eve-db.com, the skills section of the database, then spaceship command. You'll see 'destroyers' and 'battlecruisers' listed as skills. These, it just so happens, appear to be tech 2 variants of cruisers -- and probably suit your desires, neh? So you'll just have to wait a while. ;)
Oh -- and train a while. ;)
