I want to do some rat hunting. Im looking for rats with 50k+ bounty on them. Can any one give me locations on where i can find specific rats? Like Dread Guristas, Sanshas, Shadow Serpentis and other rats.
Also, is there a web site where i can find what type damage each rat does and what type of damage they are weak too so that i know what damage to deal and what hardeners to fit for each rat?

"Shadow, True, Dark, Dread" are all Commander spawns and are more likey to spawn the lower the security status you go.

Named, like Dread Guristas or True Sanshas etc can be found in low sec, from .4 to 0.0 sec space.
You can find a few rare spawns in .4 with 50k+ bounties, but best to go looking closer to .1 space for consistantly 50k+ spawns.
And as for question 2, yes, yes there is.

If you download Ombeys 2D-maps of eve, they will show you which pirate faction inhabits the different regions. Typically, the value of the rat and size of the spawns will increase as the sec status decreases. In a .4 system you can expect to find cruisers typically around 65K at best, sometimes better, usually worse. This increases further so that at .1 you can expect triple spawns of 175-195K rats (BC size), though not battleships in ordinary belts, you need to go to 0.0 for that. Faction spawns, e.g. Dread Guristas, Shadow Serpentis, Dark Blood, True Sansha and Domination actually don`t occur any more or less frequently with the sec status, you just get better rats. Typically you can expect to find a faction rat of the sme type as the best rat in a particular sec status. For example would a Dark Blood Bishop, worth 1,3 mill be the best you could expect in a .3 system, where Blood Bishops, 175K BC rat occur every now and then.
As to what an above poster stated, faction spawns can occur in high sec too, I`ve seen and heard accounts of miners getting faction rats in Serren and zoohen, both .5 systems.
On a side note, if you use the onboard scanner to scan out an encounter, you could get better rats than the sec status normally would give, I got both 375K and 435k BS size rats in a .3 system the other day.

I've had a few (3-4) faction spawn in Hizhara (0.6 system) with one droping a faction tower BPC. it's probably one in a gazillion but it's still statisticly possible even if very improbable.
