Seemingly no PE slots (although that could have been a patch notes error).
3 Copy slots which is their main purpose.
They cost more to run than a standard lab.
TBH they aren't really advanced as such, they actually complement the standard lab quite well. If you do a lot of invention for instance then having a standard lab and an advanced lab would go well together.

I added into the descriptions of labs and assembly arrays the details of their slots and job time or material modifiers to help clarify things in the future for kali 3.
This structure has:
3 copy slots (0.65 job time bonus)
2 ME slots (0.75 job time bonus)
2 Invention slots (0.5 job time bonus)

I forgot to add that into the blog which I just updated, it is currently a -10% time bonus so 0.85 modifier on copy/PE/TP and 0.60 on invention jobs.
when did the multipliers change?
