It is the single biggest EVE expansion to date right? A whole new engine, 20 new ships, maybe even factional warfare. In essence you could call this EvE 3. (not many gaming companies call an entirely new engine for a game an expansion, they call it a sequel mostly.) Why then..... is there no trailer? is there no extensive feature list? is there a total blackout two months from release? I smell delays in the air..... Some very minor snippets have been released over the past few months, but nothing near the level of true and real information, just scraps from the great dev table up in heaven. There are some very outdated movies and screens of new textured ships, but nothing approaching new CCP dev sanctioned media, just guesswork. I'm all for media hype generation through information strangehold, but there is a limit. When the thumbscrews are turned this tight, I start to wonder about setbacks and delays, and a possible postponement, it has happened before in many other games. I know how much work goes into such an expansion, but if you really are nearing completion, you guys should be just as anxious to SHOW it to us, as we are to SEE it. What's up? beg, beg, whine whine, sniff sniff, BARK?! You guys make me sad. Please give us more information? So far I have seen whines, requests, begging, and hell some dude toke a an Ibis hostage in return for the trailer and no CCP response!!. Seriously trailer, info, me want... please.

IRL that would be a screenshot gallery of horrific lag death. Besides, quality of trailers depends on the filmmakers and the quality of the movie itself. Maybe a gallery of some unseen new ship skins? What do all the stations look like? Are there going to be new effects? new sounds? new roid textures? NEW SYSTEM BACKDROPS? Whats the plan with factional warfare (which also might slip away) 20 new Ships, that must be a marketing line....? First of the trailer and some info on how things will be. Test server with the new items. And this one will be a tricky one with the whole ôyeah lets build up the hypeö. Since with the new graphics CCP will need to proof test this engine before it hits TQ. Thy actually tested smaller stuff like Poses and T2 ships, new Battleships and Battledresses. Weeks before thy became in game. With the speculated number of items to come into the game, and specially that thy will be invention based, as well as a whole new engine CCP will need at leastà2 weeks for public testing. Which leaves us with a pretty close call regarding the official release date. So here is my speculation, I don think CCP, will be able to make the date for rev3, so to shut us upàöheheàwe love you 2 CCPö they will show the uber trailer, to ease the trauma.

So, that probably means full implementation in 2 years. I think they'll start releasing the heads first, the we'll see upper torsos, then the rest of the body etc. By 2009 we should have ground to walk on.

Wait until mid-october for your information, until then you just have to piece everything together from what appears on the test server, and what is mentioned offhand in this forum or dev blogs.

I'm with Eve since 2003, and nearly haven't played any other game at all since then. BUT, i don't expect too much from ccp promises. Same with the next patch. It's all about juicy promises what will be released with the patch/expansion, but in the end it almost every time is rather disappointing. I would be very pleased if ccp changed their community strategy from announcing less stuff, and if they can do more than expected, well, great surprise for your paying customers. That's what i expect from the rev3 patch. A minimalistic version of a new graphics engine, maybe new textures for most ships and stations, and maybe some of these new t2 ships, more or less balanced. I have good hopes that ambulation will be better, but i don't expect anything reasonable in that area before summer 2008. Same goes for factional warfare (if not even later) and an useable eve-voice.
