You just jumped into .4 space to find pirates waiting right where you jumped in whats your high percentage play.
a) Log out. does cloak protecting you while your logging? b) You were smart and had autopilot set for the system you just came from. Try to get back to your gate by jamming every speed mod you got. c) you were smart and had autopilot set for the system not the one you just came from so you just hop to warp. d) you were smart and didnt have autopilot set. You use your cloak time to note what space station/gate/warp destination seems mostly aligned with your current facing and hit warp to that station jamming every speed mod you have.
I used to do B. But now im thinking D is my money play. Seems like if I can find something mostly aligned even someone with massive targeting mods wont be able to get me before warp. Heading back to the gate you just came from seems to long.
Anyone have experience with this? I still havent ran into a gate camper.

A) You linger for 2min after logging out, so whether or not cloaking stays, it will run out before your ship is removed
D) AB/MWDs are usually not useful, as most ships have enough agility to get up to 75% speed before the AB/MWD cuts out.
At least that is what I've noticed. It might benefit indy pilots, but I haven't tested it.

your right thought the cloak lasted longer but seems to be roughly 60 seconds.
I tried D and I tried B. Timed. D seemed slightly faster. It took 8 seconds for B with mwd. D is tougher to calculate cause it says warp drive active right away but your clearly not at warp. But long before you actually see the tunnel the gate is a spec that you cant see.
Soo~
Im running with D. Run right through the blockade instead of trying to double back to your gate.

C. You leave autopilot on , hit 2 MWDs on your Punisher frigate and go to warp 3 seconds after appearing on their screens. After coming out of warp you hit 2 MWDs again , close 15km distance to gate in 4 seconds at 5000 m/sec and jump while typing "Meep Meep" to 20 ship blockade.

Corpmate of mine evidently ran a six battleship blockade the other day in a shuttle. No speed mods, obviously. If memory serves, she got locked and fired on, but nothing hit.
Ballsy move, I thought.

If you have a battleship, you will be able to tank ( absorb all the hits) nicely before you enter warp.
Untill then, option D is nice and dont forget to fit a nice shield and perhaps a cap booster.
This is not a hijack

A) You decloak IMMEDIATELY following logoff/disconnect (even though you theorethically have 1minute)... This leaves your 'ghost' lying there for 2 full minutes visible.
If you'tr in Indy, you'tr toast anyway, alignment time for indy is at least 15secs, at that time even unaugmented BS can lock and fire a salvo which WILL blow your ship. Your Heavy Neutron Blaster II perfectly strikes Serpentis Chief Sentinel, wrecking for 660.4 damage.

C will be hard to do when all gate campers vill have the deployable warp scramblers... but in a high end frigate with two mwds your untouchable anyway... untill deployabale webers comes along (I hope they don't!).

Industrials are very slow to hit 75% (15+ seconds)
I find that if you engage your MWD just before you click Warp to your destination (or activate autopilot), then the six seconds you have to wait for it to disengage and then warp is much more bearable!
(It might even get you out of a tight spot where your JIP is camped - at least allowing you to get to a moon.) _____________________________________________________________ War is much too serious a matter to be entrusted to the military. Georges Clemenceau (1841 - 1929)

Try to warp to a object that is directly in your path. Ull cloak will last a bit longer while u align, and will be warping out before they catch you. Rats are usually too lazy to follow, unless u **** them off :) ----------------------

G. You crash! Immidiatly following crash you automatically decloak as it is same as logoff. When you finally manage to log back in you find your clone (who was hopelessly outdated) to be about 60 jumps from where you just died in some .4 system that also is being victim of a full player pirate blockade.
