only defense is warping away, MWD does nothing really once you are webbed. ------

Warp core stabs should help when webbed or warp scrambled. I tested it with a corp mate. He had one fitted and i webbed him but he could warp away. ---------------------------------------------

Hmm, yeah, but warp core stabs don't help against webifiers. Only against warp scramblers.

Webifier LOWERS the webbed ships speed by 75-90 % (depending on the webifier type)
and it afaik comes last in calculation: ship standard speed + ab + MWD + speed mod / web.
warp Scrambler and disruptors prohibit the use of warp, you use warp stabilizers to counter this.
There is NO module that counters the webifier.
and last but not least: Warp core stabilizers DO NOT help against Web's, Webifiers and Warp Scramlbers/disruprors are 2 different sets of modules with different effeckts.

I think webifiers should be battleship-sized weapons only considering their effectiveness (90% reducing is WAY too useful for a frig - how the hell can something 20 times smaller than a battleship bring it to a virtual stand still?)

it is something that interrupts the engines - like a warp scrabler interferes with the warp drive.
seems pretty reasonable to me. -----

webby's are one of the key items that make frigates worthwhile to take into a fight. You take them away, and frigs become a little more worthless. ______________________

The thing with webby's is, it was said in a Dev blog or something that when the changes to warping were introduced (ie your ship has to accelerate to 80% top speed to warp) that webby's were also affected by this.
So, if you're max speed is 100, you have to hit 80 before you warp.
If a webby reduces your speed to 20, you only need to reach 16 to warp :)
So, webby's aren't OVERPOWERING, unless they're used with a scrambler or you're a big enough idiot to think you can still reach the gate while web'd. Or, you've got a couple frigates with webbies and tracking distruptors annoying a BS or cruiser.

if you nerf the web you will also take a way one of the few options the "real" pirates have to do their job.
Its easier to get money from someone who cant warp or run to the gate....

im not sure about this but i htink, u can always activate and mwd before someoene can web u. If you do this ur speed will greatly increase and u can still move at a max for a short time. Mimiru > It'd be a tie, the monkies nerfed pooflinger wouldnt have enough tracking to hit the parrot orbiting him, but the parrot's beak is so small it couldnt break the monkey's fur tanking. |

I still use it. Nice to keep your shields and capacitor up during battle then turn on your mwd to run if need be.
