I agree - well spoken Susie however the Goons will NOT tell people that they need to be an active member of the SimplyAwfuldotcom website BEFORE they will even START to look at your application as valid. That is one reason why I still think that they are low-life scammers that give this game a bad name

for record i contact goon for offer to join one of your corp. i fell victim to recruitment even i am veteran of this game. i lose everything from ship to some bpo. the corp i talk about join is RnD corp and char is The Ventrue. so please tell me is there no scammer or guy that prey on new player or veteran for easy isk

It was Goonswarm's firm stance against recruitment scamming that inspired our enemies to invent such stupid and silly lies. It started in 2008 as an organized propaganda campaign spearheaded by Band of Brothers (now defunct) to discredit our alliance during a protracted war with them. At the time, Goonswarm's strength lay in the number of pilots it could field in cheap hulls to wage a war of attrition against BoB. The goons' numbers grew daily, and BoB knew they had to stem the flow of fresh recruits. What better way to do that than to spam forums and blogs with stories about "recruitment scams"?

In short, any account of systematic or director-endorsed recruitment scams is an outright fabrication designed to drive recruits away from Goonswarm. Fortunately, those lies haven't been very effective: Goonswarm Federation currently stands at over 7400 pilots. It is easily the largest alliance in the game. Do you think we got there by rejecting applications and scamming people willy-nilly? Yet that is what our detractors would have you believe.

I can vouch for Susie. About two months ago, I was just barely starting in this game, and looked around in the recruitment channel. Now, two months later, I've got PI characters that pay for a plex every month, I'm ratting in a T2 drake in Gurista space that's so safe, I've never even seen a ganker, I can fly ops daily if I want, and every single blackbird I lose is refunded with a smile.

Seriously, talk to Susie Chow, you won't regret it. I'm living the dream in nullsec, and I haven't even upgrade from a delta clone yet.

edit: Also, I'm not a member of somethingawful. It's a funny website, I like their movie reviews, but no way I'm paying 10 bucks to post on a forum. You'll get jokes about being a "pubbie", but it's all in good fun. Just call them goonies in return!
