Edited by: Karok Vilneram on 11/09/2007 23:25:38 This is going to be my main PvP ship for awhile since since I am working toward an Absolution anyway.
I am currently running 7 Heavy Pulses in the highs a webber, Medium cap injector with 800's, a AB II, and a cap recharger II in the mids an EANM, and three active armor hardeners, a DC II and one T2 Med repper in my lows.
Should I run a double repper setup with the big cap booster charges? What should I drop if I should run 2 reppers?
I don't have my armor comp skills up yet so I dont run passive hardeners much for that reason but feel free to give me your setups with them.

7 Focused Medium Pulse II
Warp Disruptor II 2x Fleeting Webs Small Electrochem w/ 200s
Kin / Exp / Therm Hardener II Eanm II 2x 1600 RT Plate
3x Trimarks
Play bait, let them jump you, you'll have problems catching people as you have the manouverability of a ... Well you cant manouver ;P On the upside its lowest resist is 70% EM and has 27k and change armour with an effective armour value around 100k ;) DPS is by no means poor around 400ish with Hammer IIs for me. If something closes enough to get webbed its probably not gonna break you before you break him.

Edited by: Ayrianna Na***a on 12/09/2007 00:03:08 Interesting setup. What are the Trimarks if I may ask? So you are relying on pure armor hps for the tank? If I can't use T2 mediums yet am I still going to have good DPS not using the Heavy Pulses and using Focused Mediums instead? I can use T2 medium Amarr and Caldari Drones though.
Sorry this is my trader alt. This is still Karok. Damn alt post

7 x FMP II 1 x Small Nosferatu II 2 x Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor I 1 x Warp Disruptor II 1 x Sensor Booster II 2 x 1600mm Rolled Tungsten Plate 2 x EANM II 1 x DC II 1 x Heat Sink II 3 x Trimark Armor Pump I 5 x Hammerhead II
494 DPS, around 92k Effective HP If you are so inclined, drop the two EANM II for a kinetic and thermic hardener II and maybe the damage control or heat sink for a explosive hardener II.
Sensor booster is just there for a little defense against the dampener craze. Seriously, ever battle I run into I get dampened. >=(

So far it seems that the consensus is to run forcused mediums instead of Heavies? Reasons for this? Tracking or Fitting issues?

Fitting issues.
The uber plated setups are popular with Amarr because your lasers become cap stable, if you were wondering about them.

I prefer heavily plated setups for a couple reasons. Your tank while limited is not affected in any way shape or form by your capacitor. Secondly and more importantly with nano ships running around all over the place. You cannot match most nano ships in speed trying to will result in most nano ships tearing you apart. However you can make your tank strong enough that they cannot break you before you break them. They are forced to either flee, or if they have strayed too close into dual web range die.

so far ive run -
high- 7 fmp 1 medium 'knave'
mid- medium f-rx injector j5 20k scram x5 web 10mn mwd
low- heat sink 2 x2 active kin/explo hardener dcu 1600 rt plate
its got a therm hole but ive been really happy with the bang for buck on this thing so far. lot of dps and tanks fairly well. only costs 10mil or whatever to put together after insurance is paid back so not too bad

That double plated setup looks really strong tbh, will have to give it a try (even though I hate flying with no mwd )
For gang work though it is heavy pulse and 3 heatsinks all the way imho

So are these fittings for solo PvP work? With the cap booster with 800 sized charges I don't have cap issues with the setup I have now at all.
I am looking for small gang type PvP fitting mostly. Although these heavy plate setups look good for solo.

Depends on what you intend to do with it, but my fleet gank setup was:
7x HP II
1x MWD 1x SB 1x WD II 1x small cap booster
1x MAR II 1x DCU II 3x HS II 1x I don't remember what
