After the crash yesterday i canŠt connect to server.
I now have re downloaded the client, and installed it and trying to connect i first got:
Quote: Unable to connect to the selected server. Please check the address and try again.
Now im getting a little bit further, gets the "log on bar" that tryes to verify me, and gets this instead:
Quote: Connection Timeout - The server did not initiate the compatibility-handshake within a reasonable amount of time
What do i do? (allready pettitioned it..)

Seems obvious, but have you tried rebooting? That might help. Is your internet functioning correctly? The "handshake" thing looks like your internet and the server just aren't connection.
They are still having some issues with the server, so it may clear up on its own. Sorry. Adapt more, whine less. |

Edited by: Zenobite on 12/09/2007 13:50:43 Already tried the normal stuff (firewall settings, reboot router, re-install client..), also installed eve on my old laptop, patched fine but then the same problem. Everything else on the pc is running fine

Your ISP's DNS servers aren't working properly. ---

Edited by: d1v1n1ty on 12/09/2007 14:03:39 Yea, possible DNS problem. See if you can do traces to the server by name and IP (sorry, I don't know them).
Do you have a software firewall? Edit: Oh, didn't see that you tried on 2 PCs.
This would suggest something common between the two that is the issue for sure.
