but aim for HAC 5 in the end.

Just get the skills to fit it fully T2.
By that time you'll have a very good idea of what else you need to boost skill-wise.

K - Cerb is a missile boat so the skills would be all missile oriented
Focus on either Heavy missile launchers or Heavy Assault - get those skills to Specialist (and all the supporting skills in that catergory)
HAC 5 is really good to have
As it is a Caldari - shielding is the order of the day with Active hardners and a GOOD shield booster (some have bought Pithim Atype medium..but only those that have money to burn)
My recommendation: Go into Evemon with this info and plan it out from the module perspective -adding in HAC 5 in the plan ...

A Cerberus is a Caldari HAC... So max out Caldari Cruiser and HAC skills, It uses missles, so max out missle skills, it shield tanks so max out shield tanking skills. TA DA

Not really worth "tanking" a cerb so to speak. You'll get a better "tank" by fitting sensor dampeners and webifiers. I'd still have at least a medium booster but it's so easy to get through the tiny buffer they have you shouldn't expect much.

A Cerb can be tanked very wel in PvE, and is much more worth it than dampening those few of the many targets you will have.
I PvP however, it has become an entirely different matter.

The key is to fit good ab so that you can keep distance betwen your enemies, that is the best tank that you can get on cerb.
