Edited by: Angry Dad on 14/09/2007 12:37:41 Edited by: Angry Dad on 14/09/2007 12:37:16 So I'm trying to get my sec status up by ninja-ratting in Angel space (0.0), but I got ganked so I wanna try something more mobile. Would a Vexor be able to kill triple bs angel spawns?
This is the setup im thinking of using:
Quote:
4x 200mm Railgun II 1x Proto cloak
1x 10mn ab II 2x Cap rechargers
1x Exp active hardener II 1x Kinetic active hardener II 1x EANM II 1x SAR II
Thanks in advance

Maybe it could, Im not to sure.
Ninja ratting implies high mobility, and waiting for your bloody drones to decide if they want to come back or go for a walk in the park the long way around doesnt imply high mobility, should you wish to bug out quickly.
Of course you can leave your drones behind and hope there not popped, or you could use guns, but then there is the reliance on ammo.
Fine balance!

Edited by: Ask Unbeatable on 14/09/2007 13:06:10 Im thinking that you should get up close orbiting a bs and hopefully dodge shots from them while killing the small rats first or something like that.

I think you'll struggle to do enough damage to take down more than the most basic 500K BS. You also don't have much of a tank, even though the BS will have problems hitting the Vexor.
I'd recommend shifting up to a Brutix or even a Myrmidon if you can.

I fly the Myrm a lot, but what happened last time was that I had literally just entered warp when the baddies jumped in. Warp was 50 AU and when I landed in the belt I did not have time to warp out before they warped in. As said, I really want mobility. No way this is possible?

Edited by: VicturusTeSaluto on 14/09/2007 13:33:32 Thorax w/ mwd would be a good option, I find that the vexor has a lot of cap problems- especially with MWD fitted. The MWD will help you get away from the odd ship or two on a gate.
I used a thorax to ninja rat sansha...
3xheavy neutron, 2x salvager mwd: 2x cap recharger 2x SAR II (run one full time, second in bursts), 1xenergized reflective II, 2x energized thermic II
Drones: 5xhammerhead II(valks for angel I suppose)
obviously for angels you would switch out the tank to have different resists, maybe 2x EANM and 1x reactive?
I just orbited the BS closely and kept an eye out for cruisers/frigs. Good luck.

Then only a HAC or a Recon can solve your problem. I used a Curse to do a lot of ratting, the drone bay and 4x Missile Launchers let you choose your damage type very effectively. And even a 4 low slot tank is effective.

A skilled vexxor has more than enough dps to take down all but the meanest rats, if not all of them. I would personally switch out the rails for light neutrons and fit a larger tank. ---

Edited by: Enigmier on 14/09/2007 17:28:45 fit something along the lines of..
4 ish drone nav computor thingy`s, the ones that give extra drone operation range, 1 gun for aggro
1x mwd, 2x sensor boosters,
2x overdrives and 2x nano`s,
then simply orbit at whatever range, i use about 110km and send in your drones once all the ships have aggro`d,
although i havnt tried this tactic in angel 0.0 space, its worked ok for a couple of lvl4`s i tested it on.
sure it aint going to be uber fast at killing stuff, but it keeps you reasonably mobile and aslong as you wait for full spawn aggro before you deploy your drones, you should have an unlimited damage ability,, also for this purpose, use a laser to get your aggro with, civilian gattling will suffice
*edit* forgot to mention drones, most damaging combo is 2x heavys, 2x mediums and 1 light

1x MAR II 1x EANM II 2x Active hardner II's (Exp/kin)
