Edited by: Joseph 9 on 14/09/2007 21:07:24 I thought I'd start this thread before some smug Scotish/Welsh/French individual decided to wade in. England just lost 36-0 to South Africa in the Rugby World Cup.
Now as an England fan I can just about stomach that but the nature of the performance was intolerable. That was the worst game of Rugby I have ever had the misfortune to watch, and I have a horrible feeling it's just going to get worse. Maybe failure to qualify would be a blessing as we don't have to see what the All Blacks do to us.

I don't mind supporting England but I'm not a fanatic. I try not to get my hopes up, especially with our team no where near the standard that is was 4 years ago. Nevermind the fact that our team carrier Wilkinson gets injured after 2.5 minutes every game.

This, It was a miserable game to watch. And now Robinson, who was nigh on the only England player to deserve his place on the field, is injured.

I wouldn't be too smug Aiwaz, Ireland's performance against Namibia was less than impressive, althouh at least you have another easy game to improve in (vs Georgia)

Wow, where did Ireland go?
Congrats to Georgia for an astounding game of rugby. I think a lot of Irish are going to be worried about France next.
I know we lost to Australia today, but only lost by 12 points to a side that are the best in the history of the tournament. I'm also hoping that next time we come back with a better performance a little bit earlier.

That was mental, according to the ITV website which was the top link in google for rwc results, Georgia had 60% of the possesion, lost 1 scrum to Irelands 3, and had the same number of penalties. Essentially Ireland won it (statistically) on Georgia missing tackles , of which there were 19.
What the hell has happened to the Northern Hemisphere's so called Big teams
