I have been belt  'ing in a Rifter for about a month now and I feel my skills are good enough to move up.
Before I move onto cruisers and bigger I'd like to stay in frigates for a wee while longer, so my next upgrade before the Thorax is the Taranis.
So can someone help me with a good belt pirate fitting? It is my first Gallente ship and I'm not sure what to go with.

Mweh, this could have gone either way. Setups forum of C&P.
The target audience of this topic reads this forum don't they?
And I already have some setups, its fairly intuitive coming from a Rifter, I just want to compare notes.

How to pirate in a ranis:
1. Fit blasters
2. Pray your targets don't fit webs.
3. ???????
4. PROFIT!
Ranis can be fun, but I highly reccomend a Vexor for starting pirates. Ranis can only really kill poorly fitted cruisers, barges, and haulers.

I've killed a few BC in mine...all depends on the target's fitting

3xelectron IIs, 1x Small Nos
Catalyzed Cold-gas I Arcjet Thrusters, scrambler II or named disruptor, 90% web
2xmagstab II, 1x Smallrep II,
2x Warrior II
Does the same amount of damage as the MAPC ion/neutron setups but has way better tracking and can run a nos (for running the rep when you're caps low)

If I'm pirating in lo sec systems with stations(with repair facilities)I don't bother fitting a small rep.

Faction Scram, implants or rigs for the cpu? Cause that thing ain't gonna fly with all it's modules online with just that setup.

Sorry.You are correct KMOr.
It's an Internal Force field Array not a DCU II.
I have a 3% implant for CPU plugged in.
oh I just realised it says Scram when I should have been more specific-Its a J5 Inhibitor.
All in all a pretty f****d up setting I posted. |
