I dont remember exactly when I hit 10m sp probably between 7-8 months.
I do know that the day I hit 30m sp just 2 days shy of my 2nd EVE birthday. Shadow Company |

Is there even that many SP's in EVE I think it took me like 1+ year or so, oh the days when there was little or none learning skills and the starter character had 9,000 SP compared to todays 800,000+
Funny how the old timers needs to make themselves feel better by thinking the starter sp actually helps anything My character started out with 2 level V skills (so 500k out of the 800k sp) that i have never used since creating the character
You need to realize - Those skills are also free. You didn't have to pay an x amount of isk for them to get them. Also remember that in the beginning of EVE it was quite a lot harder to make isk at all (there was a time when everyone knew who was flying a battleship - compare a battleship's worth back then to a titan's worth right now).

It's a difficult question, since some characters started long before the advanced learning skills were out and the implants didn't exist. Any comparison should be made between only those who started at the same time.

10 mil hit in 12 months, but this was with a period of 3 months when I let the account expire - whilst debating whether coming back to Eve was really what I wanted to do. Should have at least paid and kept up with training! Daft. Now happily settled back into Eve...
The next year should get me well beyond 20 mil I would hope...
A real story of utter stupidity was my original character - I started playing Eve a month after it was released - played on my own for over a year, paying little attention to anyone. Thus I did not recognise the relevance of attributes, or improving them. After a year I only had around 6.5 million skill points! Thankfully in 2004 I was accepted into one of the foremost pvper corps in Eve (at the time), and a year later I at 18 million, thanks to advice and combat specific training.
