Recently I've been having problems with my graphics card. Apparently it was going bad cause I went to play Civ 4 during DT and everything went down hill. The graphics froze up so I did a hard reboot. Then I started getting a constant cycle reboots. I went into safe mode and everything was working. Went back to normal mode and back to the continues reboot. At this time I did a restore but still had the same freakin problem.
I uninstalled the graphic drivers and everything appeared to be fine so I installed new graphics drivers. Wouldn't you know it, continues reboots. So I uninstalled them again and yanked the card.
Now I'm gettin a good startup but now I got errors on loading Eve so I did what it said and uninstalled Eve and reinstalled it. Now when I goto start Eve I get splash screen but nothing else. I do alt-delete and there's Eve running.
I looked for the cache folder hoping to solve the problem by deleting it. Well it aint no where. I can't figure out what's goin on.

I had the same problem with FFXI... when I made it play in windowed mode it didn't happen any more. Never had a problem with EVE since it's always windowed.
Any way I eventually found a driver (running a X600 on my laptop) at omegadrivers.net and it fixed the issue I had with FFXI maybe will fix you up too.

Encountered this problem today. Splash screen shows up but the loginscreen is nowhere to be seen, it just minimizes itself and and cant be accessed.
I didn't have this problem 2 days ago when i last logged in. And i havent made any changes whatsoever concering drivers and hardware.
Unistalled my client then downloaded the latest build with no effect, loginscreen still minimizes and cant be accessed.
Running on a C2D E6750 @ 2.66GHz, 8800 GTS, 2 gigs of ram. Latest drivers for everything, windows installation is about a week old. I'm clueless about what to do next.

Well it seems that my entire system had massive issues. I ended up just canning the thing. Wanted to restore it completely but it seems this Compaq doesn't want me to . Now I just gotta wait for cash to get the full version of Vista for my 64 bit system. Man I hate being in a state with crappy jobs .
