In-áDeklein-áthe Incursion Age began dramatically when Vily destroyed the sansha mothership and it's base, a centre of learning famous across the galaxy. Millions of sansha soldiers were killed in the stronghold, thrown into the void to drown or carried away as slaves along with the sansha's treasures. Three Sansha ships had beached in Torrinos four years earlier, but that incursion may have been a trading expedition that went wrong rather than a piratical raid. Deklein was different. The Sansha devastation of our jump bridges shocked and alerted the royal Courts of the Illuminati. "Never before has such an atrocity been seen," declared the Dekleinian scholar Andski. More than any other single event, the attack on Deklein cast a shadow on the perception of the Sansha for the next twelve months. Not until Vily did scholars outside sansha's space begin seriously to reassess the achievements of the their forces, recognizing their artistry, technological skills, and craftsmanship. Until Vily's conquering and eventual genocide of the sansha race, they were portrayed as violent and bloodthirsty.
