Why not? It works great for ISS!

Ove rhte course of the day we saved all POSes coming out of reinforced with major help from RA (much love), and just concluded a long engagement at one of MC's POSes. Killed alot, lost alot including two dreads. Great fun though and hardly any lag.

All POS's saved at the cost of 2 Dreads and a dozen or so battleships (which were actually lost on an offensive, see below).
Big thank you goes out to -A-, RED, CVA, BoS and the others that where there :)
The 2 dreads and battleships were lost to a bad call. I believe we had an MS bubbled and bumped off the POS shields but he managed to get back in. A dread was scrammed by the POS and we tried to save it. He went into siege and came out with 25% hull(?) and was repped back up with carriers and logistics. The POS had 3 Scrams on it (and a lot of guns, faction I believe?), 2 dreads and our support managed to take out 2 of them before a large McBoB support gang got there.
Unfortunately, we did not have enough support to take on the 4 motherships that logged on and keep the 2 dreads alive and we had to warp out as McBoB brought in more and more support.
The call was made to warp out to save the other capitals that were there.

The POS had 3 Scrams on it, like 4 neuts, and a lot of guns (faction I believe?). 2 dreads and our support managed to take out 2 of the scrams before a large McBoB support gang got there.

Mostly correct, definately a good fight :)
I was the aforementioned mothership :) I was outside the POS on a close orbit to assign fighters to my alt, the fight he mentions is the 2nd attempt made on me within about 15 minutes and it turned into one hell of a fleet battle at the MCHC pos.
I was *never* bumped off the POS, they bumped me a round a bit but never farther then 2000 meters from the force field, which in something you can't web is just a matter of seconds to get back in, which I did, several times :P Bubbling me? Never saw a bubble get launched near me, but there were several dictor wrecks nearby, not that it would have mattered, I wasn't there to run away, and my smartbombs were running the whole time :) I wasn't planning on playing bait when I first came out, but your first warp in changed my mind... Noticed that my armor didn't appreciatively go down while under fire from your BS fleet , and that we had several POS gunners on standby, including mine. So I moved back out and waited :)
Fleet came back in, started to open up on me, I made this comment in local: [ 2007.09.21 15:24:28 ] Stradivarious > need more dps, any caps? Which ,yeah, technically is smack, but, it achieved it's goal. Shortly thereafter IAC lowered their cyno jammer long enough to cyno in several dreads and carriers. Our scout called this over comms and we manned up every gun we could and I got closer to the shield(hey, I'm not stupid ) Enemy caps warped in just after I cleared the shield again and they were immediately scrambled by the POS disruptors. Over the next hour was a massive fight with IAC trying to save their dreads.
You'll have to look up the MC killboard yourselves for the stats since I don't feel like getting edited, find the dreads and click related mails. End result, 2 IAC/BOS dreads killed, numerous support ships destroyed, 1 of our warp disruptors knocked offline, 2nd close, 3rd nearly untouched, all repped now. Think we lost a few support ships, hard to tell without checking all the killboards, but I saw 2 MC wrecks in there before someone snatched them all up. Our support wing jumped in about 3/4 of the way through the fight, mopped up the enemy support fleet and all but their dreads warped out, Sel and myself had moved out of the shields and closed to web range on those, they weren't getting away.
Again great fight to all around, was a blast and I'm still trying to clear the adrenaline from my system :) Oh, and only after the fight did I realize my MCHC alt had finally finished Starbase defense 5, right in the middle of all that, who says you don't get xp in eve, eh?
Sure, bring a knife to a gunfight. |

lame fight at hostile POS, managed to drive off hostile fleet apart from motherships a couple of times, had to retreat in end since hostile numbers kept growing and we had zero backup from non-IAC forces
had to leave 2 dreads there at end out of 6 capitals we had there for most of fight, killed a bunch, lost tons more, oh well at least we saved all the poses that came out of reinofrced

Good job on saving the POSes.
However I'm sure the -A- and RA guys who lost ships this afternoon trying to lend a hand are very pleased that you think IAC had "zero-backup".
Good luck with trying to get them to save your asses in the future.
