This may also sound contradictory, but i also need sumit that is gona get better then 9mpg, and be reliable. Any feedback is welcome, and any other suggestions are also welcome. Was looking at an MR2 turbo, but i duno.....

Hmmm...
May I reccommend an acceptable substitute instead.
Much more enviromentally friendly and far less likely to kill folk if you lose control.

Edited by: Krasnij Okjabre on 19/09/2007 06:42:09 Personally I'd look out for an overweight, poor-handling attempt at a supercar. You should also bear in mind that you will need to spend the equivalent of a small country's GDP on fuel per month. It'd be easier to have your salary paid directly to the petroleum company of your choice. It is also noteworthy that the electrics on these cars are not great, and that the vehicle itself is becoming somewhat aged. I personally would avoid it like a carrier of the bubonic plague. On a plus note, the later models do look quite nice.
If you really want a road-melting Japanese car, I'd go for a R-34 Skyline GTR. Looks better and is a lot cheaper to maintain than it's Mitsi counterpart. Failing that, a Honda NS-X. Only Mitsi worth having is a Lancer Evo VI TME. Until the Evo X arrives, the rest are garbage.
Don't go for the GTO.
Afterthought: The FTO is not a bad car if you are really keen on a Mitsi.

I don't like the body style of the EVO X it makes me sad at what they are doing to it. Also to my last post It was the FTO is what I ment I don't know why I got it confused with the GTO.

Mate had a GTO and he enjoyed it, his had TEIN racing shocks which had electronic adjustments or something. I dont think he had too much trouble with it, fiddely things like the electric auto adjusting spoilers etc ----

Evo X looks a whole lot better than what Subaru have done to the new Impreza. New Impreza looks like a Vauxhall Astra with a cheap bodykit. If it's the FTO you are after I'd suggest the 2.0 V6 MIVEC variant. Although I don't think any of these would be as fast as your Scooby.

I don't know about Continental models, but many flavors of the US engine were plagued by something similar to what I experienced with my Tenth Anniversary Edition Mazda Miata. Mazda USA replaced entire short blocks OOW well into the '01 model year. They replaced mine 12k OOW in early '03, total cost: $19.95 for oil. 3-D told their owners to pony up the cost of a rebuild (totally inappropriate for machinings in the sump) and they'd cover the cost of the new shims (~$2). Buy a Miata. If you must drag, get a '94 1.8 with torsen and Flyin' Miata's turbo kit. Roll on acceleration in any particular gear as good as a Viper.
----- TANSTAAFL
When I engage these coils normally I do about 2x10^6 dps. But I try to avoid that because people, entire populations, like die. So I try to keep it to about 4x10^3 dps. |

I do 16 miles each way to work, so i cant really have something that chugs fuel suppose i could stick with the impreza and just drive around in 5th all day to conserve fuel. Atm if i drive semi sensibally i get 21mpg, there was that 1 time i thrashed it constantly, and got 9mpg...... Basically i want a car thatll eat ferrari's, 911 turbos etc for breakfast

If I needed to cut down on fuel use I would not be looking at the GTO, I've a MkIII Supra, and that gets around 17mpg at best, I just got a mondeo for going to work and back, also driving a slow car day to day make the "weekend toy" feel much much better
But GTO's...
Look out for fake SWB models wanting silly money (The have a fake cover for the 1/4 light to make it look shorter) Gear Box can be tempermental, spitting out of reverse NOt heard much bad things about the engines, but there a pig to work on.
Ive a mate in dublin the just does these's and supra's if you wish I can let you have his details he might be a bit far for you to see but he should be up for a chat about them.
