I have problem with unknown signal (in exploration)
I tried to find it with radar quest probes droping them so they would cover all/most of planets, but nothing, then I droped probes on each planet, planet 1 - 1h scanning, planet 2 - 1h scanning etc and also nothing
Last night I found something with 1.8au accuracy, but 10 probes persuit (2au range) didnt find anything, so WTF? I found onces gravi site with radar but I cant find unknown with radar??
Pls help
I spend 2days scanning this system.

I hope you know that cosmic anomaly is also UNKNOWN. So it might be anomaly not signature...

If it's an encounter (cosmic anomaly), you will need to select Cosmic Anomaly in the scanlist, to find it with Quests. In other words, if your Unknown is an encounter, which it most likely is, then trying to find it with Quests having selected Cosmic Signature is not gonna work.

I was searching for cosmis signature and anomaly, and all anomaly was done. So only cosmic signature is there.
Dunno what signal strenght it was.
I have skills to lvl4 for scanning. So its strange I cant find it after 20h of scanning

Dunno about the exact numbers, but 1.8 AU is close to the max range of a pursuit, meaning that it will have a very weak strength (the closer u get to the max range of a probe, the weaker it gets).
I suggest u use a quest instead of pursuit on 1.8 AU, worked for me in the past.

If I'm looking for non-combat sites, should I even bother with UNKNOWNs?

No. Unknowns will always be combat sites, while other sites will more than likely have some forces defending it, but they have other objectives.
