add a horrendeous tax to sell orders when they reach a certain number to discourage putting up to many sell orders in one single system like jita.
that would spread out sell orders across the regions some to alleviate lag.

Nope. Jita exists because it was meant to be a trading hub where lots of players gathered and created massive lag. If that never happened, Jita wouldn't exist...and Jita must exist...

There is nothing to get rid of the Jita lag anytime soon and tbh theres nothing major to do with the Jita lag, because its just a very big "shop" for everyone.
CCP clearly do not want players to do anything else but trading in Jita, no belts, no missions etc. Its just a very nice trade hub where you can find almost everything in the game.
If you still want to camp Jita because you have declared war to some corp or alliance and want to cut their trade routes and kill them in lagfest, you are actually benefiting from lag. So please leave Jita alone, she is awesome.
