I can finally afford a couple rigs for my caracal without emptying the wallet, and i'm interested in the launcher rigs. But which ones do I go for? The ones that affect accuracy, damage, or range? |

It depends on how your have your ship fitted out now

Well it's all standard assault launchers, but I'm looking to upgrade to a Drake and go with heavy launchers, so I just might hold out on buying rigs until I get the Drake. I want my missiles to be as effective as they can be.

The Drake is a tanking beast. Especially with the right rigs. It can handle lvl 4 mission with the right skills and fittings.
As for the Caracel. What I ment is if you are already running a couple BCUs then missile rigs might not be worth it since they suffer the stacking penalty.

I'd personally stay away from the launcher rigs. They stack badly and all cost 200 calibration points (That means you could only fit two on one ship, and have to leave the 3rd hardpoint empty! No way)
I'd recommend upgrading to a Drake, and fitting 3 Field Purgers for tank, then putting 2-3 Ballistic control systems in the lows. The Caracal is nice, but it can't do Lvl 4s. The drake can very easily. Keep that in mind.
That's my 8 cents.

drake with the passive shield recharge rig is crazy cool. caracal is not worth spending money on rigs for...save the rig money for getting a drake sooner or getting a cerberus and rigging it out.

I completely forgot about calibration points! Thanks for the advice.

Don't put rigs on a caracal, sweet jesus....
Experienced pilots treat the caracal as a cheap, disposable ship as they should.
Get a drake and some core defense field purgers or bay loading accelerators. Don't waste them on a caracal.
But to answer your question, bay loading ones typically add the most DPS. ----------- Support fixing the EVE UI Drones should not aggro anything missiles or turrets do not. |

I tend to prefer the rig that speeds missiles up ... I don't recall its name off the top of my head.

Although if he is using Ballistic Control Systems they will get stacking penalties. In that case it would be better to use something like Hydraulic Bay Thrusters for faster missiles.

For a caracal I'd suggest first, not rigging it. But if you were going to I'd use 2x missle explosion velocity rigs 1x missle velocity rig. The reasoning being with assault launchers your role will most likely be to kill ints and other fast but fragile things. With precision missles and the rig setup i listed you'll have missles going 7.4km/s with a 7.6km/s explosion velocity.
