The biomass Ventures is a campaign dedicated to collecting and transforming capsule pilots biomass remains into biomechanical military personal, along with other types of units of a more entertaining nature. While it is not possible to raise deceased clones from the dead The corporation that employs us for the duration of this campaign, claims to holds the cryo-biological technical formula to resurrect and control the frozen biomass remains of capsule pilots.
Products in this campaign: We provide our client with both specialized biomechanical military units used in planetary warfare and biomechanical units used within the entertainment industry and for private pleasure. Depending on the skills of the deceased capsule pilot, we can provide our client with a wide variety off potential biomechanical units - ranging from highly skilled command units and specialized personal, to hordes of low skilled frontline units and specialized courtesans.
The biomass ventures campaign area is primary concentrated around retrieving frozen biomass through any means necessary and hand it over to our client. This may include but are not limited to the following:
Campaign: collection of biomass material through concord approved acts of violence directed at designated targets containing specialized and valuable biomass material. Donations: collection of biomass material through donations made either via. The contract system or our strategically placed donation points throughout the eve cluster. Orders and contracts: collection of material that have been pre-ordered and identified by our customers. Spontaneous selection: materials that have been identified as functional and suitable material by our highly skilled and well-educated biomass collectors.
Disclaimer from our client: malfunctioning, broken and otherwise non-functional units will not be replaced û no refund and no guaranty period provided.
We will be available for potential clients for future campaigns via EVE-Mail to myself or Jonathan Swift.
The progress of the campaing will be broadcasted here.

Now I may be wrong, but this sounds like your either going to reanimate dead bodies or create slaves. Both of which I'm pretty sure Sansha experimented on.

It is not our business what the contract client wishes to do with our provided service Mr. Salo.
I am not even aware who we are working for at the moment, and I take it that since we were contacted via a third party, it's because our client wishes it that way.

While the late Sansha Kuvakei indeed did meddle with technology that would ôcreate men with the thoroughness of a computer and the ingenuity of humansö. We do not hold that expertise within our corporate ranks but am merely acting on behalf of our client. Since our client has requested the information classified and have taken steps to keep his/hers identity hidden we cannot give out any detailed research or technology information at present time.
Our ETP (Enterprise Transparency Politics) is on the other hand another question. You and everybody else interested in our whereabouts and doings will be able to follow our collection campaigns through this thread. It will contain interesting research entries, collection evaluations and upcoming campaigns.
Thank you /Jonathan Swift

The campaign is now well on the way, and even though the first couple of days has only seen little action mostly due to administrative duties getting in the way of piloting. Private donations within our rank and some scoop runs has gotten the stockpile upto 42 usable units of biomass.
We have launched the campaign in the mito constalation. Having a great deal of knowledge about the area combined with logistics, made it the obvious choice. Allthough the Gurista Associates are occupied elsewhere at the moment, there is still a fair amount of biomass to haul, other than what we manage to generate ourselves.
Even though we consider the launch a succes, it hasent been without upsets. Due to miscomunication, biomass collector Jonathan Swift has lost a Dominix, and a Myrmidon has suffered the same fate in a rather bold (bordering to stupidity )manouver. It has also been rather dissapointing to learn that the war between Giant Space Amoeba and Mugen industries, has come to an end. The potential Biomass that this conflict would have generated, did figurate on our estimation of the constalation prior to the launch.
Private donations are more than welcome still, either through contracts or direct station transfer.

Lonetrek collection campaign. Combat log entry 142:
After endless hours of scanning, scouting and material research I finally pinned down a suitable target to fit our clientÆs needs on the command units. The biomass was sitting at a safe spot near the station. Those Ishtars pilots are good objects. Really want to collect the biomass piloting a sophisticated ship as that but who is it? The ishtar pilot apparently have some wits, he renamed his ship and with 20 pilots in the local chat channel its impossible to put a face on the material waiting to be collected. Undocking the battle ship. The Dominix should be sufficient û my cost efficient favourite. Dropping the scan probes and boom! û First try a precise hit, what a great day it is today. All I have to do is warp there and get it over with. But wait, I need a web, just in case. Establishing contact with the docking manager, heÆs not happy about me coming and going like this. He mumbles something about an extra fee before opening the docking point. Well inside I hurry to refit and hit the undock. The manager stays silent but opens the undocking point letting me back out into space. Clearly heÆs not happy about my multiple un- and redocking requests. I got to remember to share some of my spiced wine with the guy next time I have some spare time. The scan result is gone now and I drop another probe. It takes me 3 rounds to get a precise hit and I align and warp of for the short and successful battle. Or, so I thought. With my Sensor boosters active and damage control ready I land on top of the unsuspecting Ishtar û initiating target lock deploying heavy drones and activating warp disruptor and webifier while approaching our clients new toy. It all happens within seconds and I sit back feeling good about myself û what can possible go wrong now. The lock signal pings in and all the modules go active on the target û this is great! I can feel the bottle of spiced vine mixing with the adrenaline in my veins, its wonderful sensation - I activate my neutralizers on the target, and give the order for the crew to take care of the rest, as I get ready to relax and watch the spectacular fireworks about to come. But alas - the scanner now informs me about new ships in the neighbourhood. Curse and Myrmidon. What else is; the Ishtar doesnÆt seem to take any damage on his shields?? It should have been well into armor by now, whatÆs going on? Goddamn drones!! Do you have to tell them everything! Thinking of all what mankind have accomplished, it is almost unbearable to see the complete lack of effective AI implemented in those bad-mannered and mindless creations! I have to do something û the curse and the myrmidon can be here any second now! |

Lonetrek collection campaign. Combat log entry 142 part 2: The spiced vine and the adrenaline in my veins turn on me, and the sensation of panic and close combat vomiting creeps up through my spine. This is not how I planned it! OK CALM DOWN! First thing first. Giving the engage order to those traitors out there while activating all resistances. I am geared up - now bring it in. The Curse lands a good 20 k out and I activate lock, I just need one bad cycle from his side. Come on Fortuna, shine on me! DAMMIT he got me. I am rendered completely helpless in my big stupid sluggish vessel in the midst of space. The Ishtar gains momentum and slips out of webifier range while its drones tear into my armor. This is unacceptable; I will not go down like this! AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOOD; WHY HASNÆT THAT ISHTAR TAKEN ANY ARMOR DAMAGE YET û The myrmidon is in range? Yes it is in range û ohhhh yes! I activate my lock while getting ready to chew on him big time. With the last drone incident clear in my memory I give the order to engage to those annoying vessels out there. But again nothing happens û what is wrong with those bots! I am halfway into my armor now and my drones are still not responding to my instructions. I open my local drone survey and realises to my horror that it is not the drones fault, itÆs my own drunk stupidity that have caused this horrible situation. 1 hobgoblin and 4 sentry drones is showing up on my interface. My good this is stupid! Giving the order to scoop all, and redeploying my trusted heavies. Now we are talking û the Mymidon is rapidly thrown into armor and the drones keeps chewing huge chunks of him. But sadly it is to late. My capacitor boosters are running low and my armor repair units are overheated to the brim of destruction. The Myrmidon recieves a last round of fire and disintegrates into void. I cannot get a lock on any of the remaining vessels and the last capacitor booster disappears from the stockpile. Drones are swarming all over me now and with a clear mind, and a certain light-headedness caused by the vine and the adrenaline, I sit back and embrace my faith. The day started as a normal day at the office û another day of collecting biomass. Now all the sudden I am redocking my pod while the docking manager sends me a smirking smile. He knew all along didnÆt he? |

Edited by: Mazca Lopez on 25/09/2007 09:59:56 Lonetrek collection campaign. Combat log entry 143:
While the work of a biomass collector can be lonely at times yesterday was dominated by the combined effort of the campaign collector unit.
But first thing is first. The biomaterial is running dry in the Mito constalation. Yes! We did expect more result from private contributors, but it does seem that the pod community holds on dearly to their captured biomass, even though only very few specimens holds any actual value to most pilots. We figured that trophy walls was terribly outdated, but I guess we were wrong! We will remain there for a while longer in expectance of better times ahead.
We hear the war drums pounding at a distance, and we eagerly awaits what they might bring. The Caldari loyal forces seem to have gotten to, if not the same page, then at least the same chapter, and are polishing their missile bays in preparation to engage the black rabbits, though we remain unaware if words are going to be the primary weapon. Whether the Black Rabbits will remain in Molden Heath for the duration of this war, if it happens that is, also remains unanswered, however, should they decide to return to Mito, we would not hesitate to lend them our pilots in exchange for the biomass I am sure we combined could produce plenty of, even if they are very capable without our aid.
Yesterdays Biomass collection was unfruitful in terms of Biomass. However the financial front saw some good progress.
We had barely shipped out before an Iteron jumped into our gathering point just as our scout was in place to rapport clear on the other side of the gate. A locking attempt was however interrupted by the cloaking of the vessel. A direction of the vessels position was however pretty clear, and speed boosts were initiated on all ships, and drones launched racing towards the last known position of the helpless cargo vessel. Within seconds the ship was uncloaked and a single volley from drones blasters and auto cannons was all it took before the hauler vaporized. The pos however, that was the primary objective was quick to warp off, and we had to settle with the few items that survived the massive pressure change. Soon our presence and hardware was communicated amongst the Nalvula community, and we took our leave to the more quite Jan system for the remainder of the ops. Biomass collector Malik Kalak made a bold move on a t2 fittet Dominix in his Typhoon Battleship while one of our collectors was changing his interface. Ops commander Jonathan Swifts Astarte went into warp while the Typhoon quickly went into armour under heavy Ogre and sentry fire. As this took place my Megathron interface program re-launched and warp was initiated towards the action. Disturbing words of armour failure reached us through voice come, however after a few seconds of discourage, the Phoons dual-repair system restacked a huge amount of hitpoints while the unfortunate Dominix pilot decided to change focus of his fire to the command vessel of Jonathan Swift, shifting the battle odds to 100% in our favour. Communications was established to the doiminix, but it was unfruitful and the hull of the battleship took a final Large Null hybrid slug allowing the pod to escape into the cold void of space and unfortunately warp way leaving us with drones and modules for our stockpile.
The end of the operation came before planned as yours truly failed to return to his ship after docking for a drop and load, being stalled by an insane nymphomaniac caldari hothead of a female specimen insisting to have her wayàà What can you do !

Lonetrek: Collection campaign, combat log entry 143:
We may need to change strategy in our campaign in order to increase the quantum of biomaterial requested by our client. We are coming up on one week and will evaluate our progress after the end of that. In the meantime we will celebrate the partial success in terms of our financial gain and hope for a better tomorrow in terms of biomass donations.
Yesterdays combined collection effort was by far the best yet. Even with the self serving, righteous community growing more and more aware of our presence we manage to operate freely towards our goals. After a quick scout briefing positions were taken in Taisy, on the Nalvula gate. Only a few minutes passed before a solo Drake decided to jump into our small camp. Immediate locking was initiated, but interrupted by the cloaking of the vessel. However the strategic move was only buying the pilot enough time to say his final goodbyes to his crew, within seconds the large battleships with orbiting drones uncloaked the drake sealing his fate. The pod escaped unfortunately but we were compensated handsomely by the Arbalest heavy launchers, that survived our punishment.
A new strategic spot was picked for our next moves, and it proved fruitful. A Ferox met a quick end, though slightly interrupted by a (over)careful commander that was stalled for a few seconds by a sudden increase in the local pod population. This however proved unrelated to our doings and the Battlecruiser was taken apart seconds later.
We remained at the spot and were soon after on top of a well-tanked Abadon on the move. The pilot made a counter attack on the Typhoon of Biomass collector Malik Kalak, but his efforts were in vain as the combined repair capabilities of our small pack far exceeded both Abadon and sentry guns. When a flawless win was in sight communications were established with the Abadonpilot AmenoZ whom agreed to contribute to the campaign with Isk instead of his pod. This, we learned, was merely an attempt to buy time while awaiting his aggression countdown and establish contact with the Jumpgate. His devious bluff was however called in time to give the gate operators a firework to remember, the execution of his pod and collection of his biomass felt a suitable punishment for his cheating behaviour.
At this point a needed break was called and a few stations were selected for a bit of cool down. Malik Kalak, or the radical as he is also known, decided to move to a neighbouring system to unload some cargo. This resulted in him coming under fire from a couple of rather dumb, and totally outmatched pilots in a couple of flimsy Caldari vessels known as the Condor and Caracal.
The gang was resumed later with lesser result, consisting of 0 pods a caracal a badger, and even later a solokill of a Rifter by ôThe radicalö
The end of the day also saw a new biomass collector joining the force. We will however let him end his current employment before revealing his identity.

Yesterday was uneventfull in terms of donations and engagements. attempts to collect a few units of biomass through brute force, were disrupted by some rather unusual and noticable Hydra alliance movements and presence in Mito Lowsec. We have no valid intelegence if this was merely a coincidence, but untill any confirmation can be had, we view it as such.
strategic spots were selected in our target systems, and some purchaces were done in the name of the campaign, but other than than yesterday was R&R day for the most part.

A single Maller was unlucky enough to cross our path today, and provided us with several t2 items. The Tank on the Maller however did impress us a great deal, but then thats what they are known for...
A strategic suggestion was put forth today, whether or not it will be implemented is yet to be decided, but there is a very good chance that a move of opperations will be announced shortly.
