Death4free	Posted - 2007.09.22 18:25:00 - [1] hello everyone ive been playing eve for awhile now and ive finally decided to get into trading im hoping 2 get some low level bpos and use them 2 make bpcs to sell also i am looking into buying some higher level bpos so i will need some investors to help cover the cost can anyone give me some help on how 2 set up a buisness such as described above and how i work at getting investors?

Then perhaps you might watch how some people gather investors. One particular way is having an idea of what your business is going to be, how it should work, and what will screw it all up should luck frown upon you. I'd rather not give you such advice as: a - I hate competition b - You really should do some work yourself c - The answer would be added to the scammer's handbook. You're lacking any specifics and throwing around phrases about gathering investors...you're going to need to do alot more (and spell alot better) than this to even get close. There are dozens of threads about trading all over the stickies in this topic. Read those first. A general rule of thumb is; know what you're jumping into before you start posting here. Confidence can be mistaken for arrogance. Just don't make the mistake of using arrogance to cover up a lack of intelligence. Investors, and it's market, tend to remember names to threads and I doubt this thread will inspire the kind of confidence that raises real money. So I doubt you'll have much success with Death4Free. I wish you luck when you use an alt to try to get investors. I still strongly suggest you read the stickey's though. It'll spare you from displaying ignorance in your future attempts. A plethora (oh yes I said it) of information exists in these forums on how a successful IPO works. It is not for the faint of heart. You will spend many hours getting a business plan together and may or may not find investors. You need an innovative idea backed by hard work and proven results before you pry anything from my wallet. Now, taking the investor portion out of it, you want a high sec POS? Better have the standings for it (COSMOS time). A small faction tower is between 150-200 million, plus labs and defense is another 200-300 million. Add in another 40 million a month in fuel and there ya go. You can now research in high sec. I would look to your corp and friends first, find someone who knows how a POS works and start small. For 60 million? I would try to parlay that into about 600 million before trying to get into the BP market.

Some of the people stumbling into this section of the forum are like new players flying around in low sec. High faction standings + decent starting isk + try making isk on a small scale = MAYBE think about running an IPO. Generally some of the investors are so whiney in the market forum I know I'd have trouble not war decing them. Public IPO is not my style and may not suit your proposed operation. I agree I don't have the features to be a holoreel star. Most people have missed the point that this is Mobsters Online and that carebears are at the bottom of the foodchain.
