Please be aware of an player identity called "Deckerx".
He is a scammer and clearly admitted clearly that he is a scammer in our last chat session with him. These are his own words from this chat session, below;

[ 2007.09.23 07:47:56 ] Deckerx > NEVER NEVER NEVER TRUST ANYONE IN THIS GAME
This chat was about me expecting him to finish the deal that we had agreed upon and me alredy have payed him fully but him not returning the items or not refunding me.
Besides he accuses me getting the credits illegally which is not true. He acccuses you and try to find an issue of yours to use it against you. And when he cant, he uses a very offensive language sometimes, accusing you, threatening you, trying to supress you, using help of other characters to paint the facts, to deceive you, always trying to trick you into saying things that he may use. Very clever, manipulative, aggresive and tricky guy. Acting totally unethical and also unashamed about that, no conscience or moral ethics which makes us differ from other life forms living on this space. Very harmful and evil and he acts like he is enjoying it, which is way over pervert and soulsick.
The ISKs lost because of this scam and the offenses provided with this guy may be swallowed, things happen like that. A trusting person may be cheated always but that person should not be punished or offended because of this. It is the wrong edge of the sword. The least thing that I will feel is being ashamed of me scammed. Shame on Deckerx, not me. Also I dont operate with hateful feelings, rules and system is around just for this type of guys. I am just a simple player without any rules enforcement and judging roles in this game. But I believe justice will prevail as always.
The details of this scam is being dealt with game masters currently by methods allowed here, mainly petitions. It is not my duty to judge and penalize accordingly so I left it to the game masters as it should be. And this is why I dont provide the rest of the details of the deal and logged chats and messages of what happened as of now. But I also asked game masters for permission to provide these to the public here, so everybody may defend themselves from such scammers and metagamers that decreases the quality of the game.
Even if nothing comes out of the petititons about him, and scammimg is allowed like he states, dont buy anything from him or deal with him, unless you like to be scammed in the end. This guy is not a respectful tradesman or player and he is not alone. He acts together with other guys to trick you or perform theatrical acts on chat sessions like fake war scenarios going on, manipulating kill records, and many dark and cloudy acts instead of just keeping his promises and doing his job. The thing that he had done to me was nothing personal, this is just the way he lives and thinks and acts all the time. There are other forum messages that you may easily find around which supports my ideas about him. I wish I had searched for his credentiality beforehand which is my mistake.
Anyway as more as I search about him, I've heard rumours that people is getting together to hunt this nuisance down and a high bounty is being collected to be put on him also, but I cant verify that, just rumours.
So please evemail me in the game or better write here if you have also been offended and scammed by this metagamer or interested in him or have anything to add to the information pool about him. We are taking legitimate action against him.

Unfortunately what people say here is true.
I have been scammed because of my trust.
I also were not around in the forums or community, just playing under my rock :)
I admit it.
I may be even stupid in certain perspectives.
But this was really a lesson for me which will improve me so I dont care about the losses at all.
Setting aside my hurt pride or any egos, I am putting all this here just because of my intentions of preventing such things like happening to other people and to act as a real life example when you dont read forums, try to learn, talk with people, then **** happens :))
It is not sufficient to put your trust blindly. It is your responsibilty to clealrly assess and then give your trust to someone who is worthy of it. I know :))

Im sorry to hear that you got scammed, but in eve most things are allowed. Scamming been one of those.

I am rather happy with my lot in life, so I don't have the childish compulsion to decieve people in a computer game, especially in such a 'Lo!l11 i deceeved yuo! mine!1' fashion.
I would say you shouldn't trust people in online games, but when you find people you can trust, and share the game with, it's worth so, so much more than isk, dredits, gold, whatever.
Just beware that many people do indeed have a price, and that some simply won't scam.

hehehe...people will you ever get it? if you want to do something about griefers first thing is to ignore them . So you got scamed , screwed...suck it up and get over it , learn from your mistakes and if you can get revange on the griefer , but don`t come here and cry about it .
If you get in here and start crying ...the griefer achieved his main goal , that`s ****ing you off. In my experience this is how most of these "l33tzz me gr334 u 1 u lose" type of kids work , they do what they do just to get attention , to get a feeling of power over you , and if you get ****ed and run in here crying , they win . It`s just a game, and if some kid will go to any lengths to screw it up for you just so he can be a l33t dud3 , your best defense is knowing exactly if what he did is against game rules , if so...petition, if not and you got scamed out of your own stupidity...suck it up and move on

It's not, unless they use two accounts at the same time to do it. Since metagaming is a word used to consider what would be valid information in a role playing enviroment. scammers dont roleplay. They might claim they are roleplaying but thats just a cover for their actions, if they where to be roleplaying then they would not use information or knowledge their characters could not achieved on their own. Technically reading the forums to gain information and use it in the game are metagaming, so most people do it some way or the other.
