I was wondering what some of the more experienced players thought about a me using a Myrmidon to defeat a Scorpian. I've been playing for about 9 weeks and fly a Myrm with most of my skills trained in Drones, Gunnery, and Learning (BC skill at lvl 4) and my possible opponent has been playing for about 6 weeks and flys a Scorpian and seems to have his skills a little more dispersed among his skills than me. What I'm wondering is if it is possible for me to defeat him in my Myrm and what mods or tactics would be recommended to take him down? Any help is great and if I tangle with him I'm going to try and record it and I'll post it in this thread.

...fit ECCM ? Myrm has more than enough mids for this...
Scorp does poor DPS for a BS , and myrm has the best of any BC. Even without ogre IIs , you should give him a run for his money.

well, how to put it..
he wont be able to kill you ...
however he could be either nber tanked so you wont be able to kill him, or
hell haeve an ecm fit... in which case he'll go down fast... but eventually will manage to squeze in a jam and run...
so basically... either he is ******** or its gonna be a draw

Well if the scorpion fits properly he'll jam you and leave if its looking too hairy. If you've agreed not to warp out then you'll trash him no problem.
You might have a slight problem if he fits a 7 slot tank as your damage might not be enough to break it.
The Scorpion isn't a solo ship though and he can't jam your damage (drones).

hmm... imo u should be able to defeat him quite easily...
if u know his jamming, just fit ECCM.
if u got semi-decent drone skills and can use Ogre Is
just sit down next to him and do a scoop redeploy tactic if he attacks your drones. if u use some auxiliary nano pumps u ll pimp your own tank. if he uses guns (dont think he will, eh), just get transversal up. cant imagine he will have a web.
missiles do ok dmg even if the character is young, but if u got your skills right u should tank him long enough to spank him.

ECCM doesn't automatically guarentee immunity to jamming folks. He'll most likely get a cycle off before you can kill him. If he knows you're going to be in a Gallente ship and he fits 4 or more racials you won't be able to hold him there without some skillfull bumping, no matter what your sensor strength.

If your opponent has been playing 6 weeks, and is in a Scorpion, you'll pwn him... especially if you agree not to warp out.

If he's ECM fit, a couple ECCMs will make you a pain in the ass to jam, and your drones alone will force him to warp out. Bump him repeatedly to stop this. If he's uber-tanked, you can't really kill him, but he probably does ****ty damage, and for every piece of tackling equipment he has his tank is weaker. Myrmy does have the highest dps of any BC, so you might have a shot if he's packing a web + scram. If not, just leave when things stop going your way...

If it's pre-arranged and he fits like this:
4x siege 2x heavy neut
1x ECM burst, 2x invu field, Xlarge booster, boost amp 2x injector 1x web
3x BCU-II 1x dmg control
myrmidon will die horribly.

I think I'd agree that a skilled and competent Scorpion pilot could take out a Myrmidon solo. The proposition was that he was in a Myrmidon with 9 weeks of skills and his opponent in a Scorpion with 6 weeks of skills.
