Yes I know it's been discussed to death and yes I've read some of the back posts on this, but not all I only have so many hours in a day after all.
Titans need another nerf :)
Capital cloaking devices should replace the use of standard cloaks on Titans, the fitting requirements of which should render the fitting of a DDD and a JB impossible at the same time.
I think it's rather silly that a Titan should get away with fitting a 9 mill cloak and suffer no penalty to fitting a DDD and being able to fire it immediately.
Thoughts? Comments? Flames?

There's actually a 20-30 second delay before you can doomsday once you've uncloaked.
And nano-titans that can warp out in 14 seconds are much lamer. (not even exaggerating on the align time there) |

Theres a 20-30 second delay to locking a target not firing a DDD iirc.
If the Titan cant cloak and have a DDD then its much easier to keep tabs on its location, therefore it doesnt matter how fast it can warp in and out.

When I say there's a delay between uncloaking and doomsdaying, I mean it. Ask a titan pilot.
And yes, the speed at which a titan can warp in and out is an important part of balance when you have to burn 250km in a dictor in 14 seconds to bubble it for an average speed of 17.8 km/s. (obviously this ignores "meta-tactics" such as bookmarking and warping to cans, but the point still stands) |

edited, but it wasnt the main point of my post. I was going to add something about nanos too maybe now i will.

I think the whole cloak thing for a titan is totally crap¦! This "thing" is just SO BIG that it's exert a pull on nearby vessels. They can be trapped into its gravity field like the eve chronicle says. And now such a titan should be cloaked? erm... "lol" is the only thing which come into my mind if I think about this... I think titans should never be cloaked! Otherwise there is simply now logic in this if you ask me...

You don't need capacitor to initiate warp, so increasing DD cap use won't do anything. If it was decided that nano-titans needed to be nerfed, it would be better to simply immobilize it for a short period of time (like thirty or fourty seconds) after firing and/or reduce the doomsday range, which would give people a better chance to burn towards it.
It can be hard to judge whether or not something is conclusively overpowered or just lame, though. |
