I'd like to know if it's possible to set a jump clone in Empire space this way:
Starting in an Empire station... Set my medical clone to a 0.0 station and kill myself Set a jump clone in the 0.0 station and get a updated med clone Set my medical clone back to an Empire station and kill myself Jump back to 0.0, leaving behind a jump clone into Empire
Before I join my corp in pewpew 0.0 space wars I want to make sure I have a quick way to go back to Empire for skill books. Unless there's something I missed what I described should work, yes?

Edited by: Baka Lakadaka on 25/09/2007 11:27:04 I did something very similar.
1) set you med clone to 0.0 2) set off for the 0.0 station in a shuttle and see how far I get. 3) get part way and someone kills me 4) wake up in zero zero and update/set my med clone back to empire 5) setup my jumpclone in 0.0 station and set off for empire in a shuttle 6) get killed part way. 7) wake up in empire with jump clone in 0.0
Advantage: 1) I was setting up safe spots on the way in and out until I got killed. 2) I got to see a lot of 0.0/lowsec on the way in and out, visiting stations on the way. This is important because you can only set medical clones in a) stations owned by your corp/alliance (something to do with standings) or b) stations you have visited.
IMPORTANT: If you get podded you will lose any implants you have.
PS - There is a chance that you might make it all the way and not have to fork out for new clones - just remember to move your med clone to the right place.

You can always set a medical clone in your starter NPC corp station *and* all stations your corp has an office in (WARNING ! even if that station has no medical bay). If you HAVE to do the "suicide thingy", you might as well just do it only when you need to. _

Correct me if I'm wrong but dont you need to be in the 0.0 station before you can set a medclone there?
So far as I know you cannot just set a medclone to any old station (in 0.0 specificly), you have to have had access to it. Otherwise whats to stop me from setting an alt medclone in an enemy station to monitor their movements.
Don't forget you would already need to have a current JC. If this is going to be your first.. you need the correct standings with a corp (npc or player) to set the first jumpclone which is usually the kicker to getting them. ------------ This is not War... This is pest control - Dalek Sek

If he's mentioning installing a jumpclone in a 0.0 station, that usually means it's a player-owned outpost with medbay, in which his corp has an office in, and his corp has at least a +8.0 standing with the owner player corp (or his corp is the owner).
In that case, he just needs to dock in any (empire) station with a medbay, and switch the medical clone location to that 0.0 outpost, then commit suicide. _
