how about making agent missions more demanding on braincells or skill?
for example, retrieve missions, where the agent gives you some piece of information, but you have to figure out the rest yourself, possibly by contacting other agents bribing them, finding lost documents ie?
also some missions instead of just giving a bookmark, ppl would have to scan one or more systems to find some lost.. etc.
or missions where you have to track down some person etc.
basically something else than the endless "take this- go there - kill that - bring that here or there" totally mindnumbingly boring.

Teelmaster has a point, i can see the posts now "OMG What the hell do i do?". Look at the Zor mission, 1 mission, which was very rare anyway, that tested players ability, and due to ppl complaining about losing ships to him, it got scrapped. I'd luv to have missions that are more challenging but carebear-ism will see it to it that we wont have any.

I rarely bother doing agent missions, I find them offensive and a waste of time. I pay money to enjoy the game, not to have these run arounds iritate and bore me.
Saying that though, looks like i'll be forced into doing them for tech 2.
There should deffinately be more meat to the missions, a little story perhaps, besides the "X bought/needs x from x and I need you to pick it up.".
Challenging missions would be great due to the obvious fact that they would be......challenging! , some people may not get it, but they will do and when they do they will be profoundly happy and become enlightened gamers, much like myself
C'mon CCP!, let your imaginations run riot

I'm all for more challanging missions and introducing the concept of thinking into some of them. You guys should try come up with some specific missions, to give CCP the right direction.

i'm for making missions harder, but probably lvl 3+. lots of new people learn the game running lvl 1 missions and make their money running lvl 2 but by lvl 3 you should know what you are doing and be able to gather the resources / friends to help defeat tough encounters. i have been running lvl 2 for about 2 weeks now to save for my cruiser and am only just starting to apply to a corp as i approach lvl 3 faction.
getting physical help from the noobie is corp is pretty rare (thanx nichie for taking out those hunters for me) so hard missions for lower than lvl 3 will just hold people up / **** them off. although maybe put the hard missions on lvl 2 agents of a high quality (say 15+) instead of waiting till lvl 3.

I have over 8.00 w/ Amarr Navy and Carthum Conglomerate and I refuse to do any more missions (other than my daily R&D mission) until lvl 4 & 5 agents become active. The tedious, mindnumbing experience of missions just sucks... I'd rather eat ectoplasm and uurinate on a sentry gun while it is firing than do another courier mission.
Sex0r > you're bounty turns me on.. you seem like the kind of amarrian to dominate me

Who told you that it was a legal requirement to obtain your own tech 2 blueprint?
Less obvious missions did go in (search the stargates in this system, search the moons in that one) but led to problems (wrong people killing wrong pirates at stargate; innocent passers-by getting mullered by pirates at stargate; inability of EVE programming system to generate pirates at or near the warp-in to a random moon, instead of randomly somewhere around a moon and making you spend 12 hours at each one circumnavigating it while you tried to find them.)
Hopefully these problems are being worked on, and the process hasn't simply been abandoned.

I'm not get tech 2 for the sake of it, I am a scientist and manufacturer. Is is therefore my responsibility to gain imoroved technologies for my corp.

It's your *responsibility* to have fun; that's the purpose of the game. If the role you fill in your corp demands you do agent missions, and you don't think that's fun .. do some other role.
If you need tech 2 blueprints and can't, or won't, research them, buy them. They're out there.
