So we were NPC hunting in a certain system on the fringes of Venal when we noticed the whole time Jamba of Infinicorp was in the system. Considering he didn't freak out after an hour of NPCing, our little gang decided to run a scan of the system. So as we traveled through the belts, we hit the scan button and finally found Jamba's BMW (Bestower) somewhere off the grid in an asteroid belt.
To make a long story short, we were able to locate this particular individual right next to a mercoxit roid and cloud about 8,000km away from a belt. A couple tachyons fixed his problem pretty quick, and of course we collected the local hull expander. He made a nice convenient pile of 12,300 mercoxit as well.
Anyway, let that be a lesson to the afk grid mining exploiters.
EDIT: anyone who wants Jamba's Frozen Corpse is welcomed to pick it up from escrow at Obe VI - Moon 2 - DED Testing Facility courtesy of The Forsaken Empire. Biomass disposal fee is 1,000,000 isk.

I can only imagine the hell he went thru trying to figure out a way to petition to replace his ship without actually admitting he was exploiting.

There is no more grid exploit, Cao Cao.
Devs deliberately left a few hidden belts around to reward the hardwork of scanners.

You cant be compleatly insane. Have you heard of Hidden astroid belts ?????
This are them. They are not part of a belt that streach out of grid. At best you can ask CCP to put some NPC in this hidden belts, but then again. They would not be hidden for the Rats and not hidden for the storry line either.

We were wondering the same thing. But sure enough, for about an hour on the scanner there was clearly: "Jamba's BMW" "Asteroid (Mercoxit)" and "Pollution Cloud." And he was just sitting there filling his hold until we found him. By the time we DID find him, his hold was full apparently and all we had to do was pop him. But yeah, somehow he was mining the mercoxit roid without getting damaged by the pollution cloud (dunno how he did that).
As to Zarquon Beeblebrox,
Are you gonna try to attack me from 65km away from a gate in empire space with missiles again? LOL. I don't really give 2 sh!ts what you do, come play if you think you can take the heat. Otherwise go bark up some other tree.
And no I'm not mining that grid, it is lame, I've never afk mined, and I find mining v.distasteful and try to avoid it whenever possible.

In fact I was in an Iteron Mk III. If you had so much as looked sideways at my battleship you can be sure I would have chopped you up and fed you to the dogs. kthx now bye bye
EDIT: and wtf are you talking about ran, loged, [sic] and smack talked? I have seen you what, twice? Once was in my kestrel running missions and then the time you attacked me with missiles in empire which was in my iteron mk3. Quit making up facts, and go ask Beseb from R.O.T. if I run and log even in situations where I am outnumbered and outgunned.

Tis true, he took his beating like a man despite 2-1 odds.
Speaking of beating, and kinda OT, but what's this I hear about some noob in an Ibis blowing away an FE indy sitting at a gate somehwere in Vale? Apparently it was "three" and he had approx 50 mil worth of loot in it!? Heard this one on the grapevine.

I'd be interested in seeing a link or citation to the source you are using to support this statement. Or even you simply saying which developer said this to you. As far as I can tell, grids were made super huge in order to solve a lot of the grid exploiting but never have I heard that they "intended" to leave some belts outside some grids as a "reward" to some people for using their scanners. Citation please, or we can all assume this is typical puffery.
