Anybody have any suggestions? I've tried the Ships and Modules forum, but it's been entirely unhelpful. I've also searched and searched using Eve-search.com. Can anybody gimme a break of that kitkat bar?

All depends on what your gonna be doing with it, whether its gonna be dangerous or extremely dangerous
I haven't time to list something now, but i'm sure someone will, just ignore the people telling you wrong place and omgusesrchNUB and all that malarky.

Its not really the kind of ship that needs a guide, as there is little you can do to it, but if it were me...
lows: 4x expanded cargohold II or 4x warp core stabs or mix of stabs and nanofibres
mids: 10MN microwarpdrive II Medium shield booster II or an ECM burst II.
You could also put a small armor repairer II in a low slot and have the ECM bust II as well, just remember if your planing on jumping through a gate within 30 seconds of fireing it, you won't be able to, and useing ECM bursts in empire is a very bad idea -

I generally use 4xInertial Stabilizer II's, a 10MN MWD II and a Medium named cap battery and a Cloak. Rigs, i fit the one that gives you more warp speed - has helped me escape quite the number of chasing interdictors/interceptors This setup is for what i would call TRUE blockade running.
The trick with the cloak is, if there's a camp, you hit the MWD and cloak right after, then align, decloak and warp.
With the inertial stabilizers, it gets to warp almost as fast as an interceptor. Almost, not quite

1x Cloak
1x 10mn MWD II 1x Magnetic Scattering Amp II
2x Nanofiber II 2x Local hull inertial stab
Rigs: 2x Low-friction nozzle joints.
In a blockade runner, you want to get to warp as fast as possible. With this setup and the relevant skills to V (Evasive maneuvering, spaceship command) you get to warp in 2.6 seconds. If you do get locked by an inty, your inherent +2 warp strength acts as a safety net.
If you can afford polycarbon rigs, put in 2 polycarbon rigs and put 4x local hull inertial stabs in the lows to get to warp even faster. ------------

This is how I fit as well, sometimes switch out 2 low slots for stabs, making it takes 5 points to tackle me.

Does the mass reduction of the Nanofibers affect anything other than AB/MWD?

Your actual agility is based on your agility modifier and mass, so reducing mass results in quicker turnings and faster accelerations. -- I like cheese. |
