Edited by: George Carter on 17/02/2004 16:34:12 Well - firstly the Blackbird is the Caldari Electronic Warfare Cruiser - so you would need quite a few skills trained to use it - not to mention have spaceship command to level 3 and Caldalri Frigate to level 4
As far as your next step in a Frigate is concerned it depends what u want to do. If you are looking for a bit of PvP action train up your missle skills and get yourself a Kestrel. A Merlin is also a good allround frigate too.
Edited as I forgot to mention - the price for a Blackbird is around 3 mil isk on the market from memory. Plus the cruiser skill u would need is about 500k isk ---------------------------------------------

Hi,
Well the Blackbird is a cruiser and will cost u more like 3mill to get so i dont think that is a good choice. U want to go for a caldari frigate to start with, if u go here www.eve-i.com, u can find a great ship database to look at.
What do u want to do in the ship as well, because that will influence the choice as well, cos the kestrel is a great fighting ship but cant fitt mining lasers, where as the imicus is a great figate for mining.
I would go into .5 when u have good gunnery skills as the rats in the belts will be quite hard in a frig, or wait till u have ur cruiser and some heavy drones then u will be very safe in .5.
Hope that helped ----- Trixy says "Keep ur friends close but ur enemies even closer" -----

The game is not complicated, it just takes time and patience, and with the time you'll gain the knowledge. You need to walk before you can run. I thought along the same lines when I started, but you'll be amazed how quickly you pick things up.
Feel free to contact me in game for any help or advise.

Until i got my shiny new Cruiser (yesterday.. yay) i was using a Bantam with two mining lasers and two mining droids for mining.
For combat i went for a Merlin as for a while i had a lack of Missile skills. If you can use rockets and missiles go for the Kestral for combat, if you are more skilled with guns, go for a merlin.
PS Bantam is Frigate lvl2, others are lvl3
