Hey guys, I just thought I would share an observation of mine but first it needs to be set up. I work at a research university in the Dept of Nephrology. We research IgA nephropathy which is a kidney disorder that results in end stage renal failure in about 20% of people who have it. As such I have to get blood and urine samples from a varity of patients. During the course of this I spend a decent amount of time in the hospital at the university. Today alone I saw transplant patients in their teens, fathers of young children in the Cardiac Ward and accident victims more broken than whole. Sometimes it's not a very uplifting place to be and it gets to you. Which is why I am glad to be involved with EVE. There are times when even though you have a good life(and I do) you have to forget about some things in it if only for a bit. EVE helps me relax when I can't stop thinking about something I have seen or heard. It keeps me occupied when I need to stop asking questions that don't have answers. With the added bonus that I have made some really good friends and met lots of people who make my laugh. Yeah the bugs get to me sometimes and I have been close to leaving before but in the end CCP has created a world thats immersive enough to make me feel a part of it. for that i would just like to say thanks.

I'm glad to see somebody whom does get as much enjoyment out of the game as myself.
EVE is a great place to get away from the real world :)

Yes, it is a good game.
Now all CCP has to do is make it even better :)

yeah eve is a great place to divert from r/l. I have had many good laughs.
I begun playing eve when my confidence was down and I tought it would be best to die. I know I have complained a few times. but who dosnt? when it comes down to the fact. I love eve.
I know there is many griefers and podders & bugs but it's nature.. just like the scorpion stings the turtle. They call em fingers but why dont they fing? |

Eve is great. Sometimes you can forget this when you read the negative posts (which annoy me a lot of the time as they are not constructive criticsm), but then you think - its the same people complaining/*****in/whining usually, and yet they are still here. This says a lot. I hope CCP realise that for all the complaining we do, there are equally if not more aspects of this game that we love....*cough* if only they would sort the Raven *cough* .
It has provided a much needed alternative to RL on many occasions.....problem is just now it seems to provide an alternative when I really need to be concentrating on RL (finals coming up ). So, thanks from me as well, keep up the good work, and don't be shy about sorting the Raven, adding cloaking to TQ and elite frig bombers as well........actually, you can wait till end of May to do that so I can be here for their introduction.

Not quite what I had expected, going from beta interviews, etc, but still a good game.

Y'know, Eris, if you really want Maud to be thankful for this game, you should drop by "La Maison de tous les Plaisirs" some time...

Same reason I play Maud Dib. Sometimes it's just nice to get away.

Well for my part I must applaud the designers on creating an unparalled environment for politics and intrigue and roleplaying. The quality of the background and backstory, the art and the vision, do really shine through. The product is surely still a work in progress but it does truly seem a labour of love. I have really enjoyed this game, and have made an awful lot of good friends and had some great times. Its been well worth the subscription cost many times over, even if I didn't feel obliged to make a decent multiplayer space game a success from pure social responsiblity!
So in the spirit of the thread, congratulations for all involved in the development of Eve! Keep up the good work and lets see all this game go from strength to strength in the months to come.
(Boo! for removing Zor though!)
Love and peace

Ok, I've not posted here in ages, but figured what the heck.
Recently I've had my only reliable transpiration become "unreliable" as well as I've had to pick up a second job while being a full time college student to attempt to resolve that issue, at the same time I am dealing with a legal matter with a former signifigant other. (not of marriage, of she went psyco, I walked, she stalked... for 6 months)
But it's nice to for at least an hour or two (or more) a day to just be able to escape into an alternate life where I can be whatever whenever I want. Where the only things to matter is what I want to matter. Freedom is bliss... now back to work for me.

Eve has been so much fun for me, that its stopped me writing my book. So I had to uninstall it!
Now thats addictive.
By far the best game on the PC, and a fantastic community to interact with.
