For me, it's narrowed down to two choices, either to be born in 1050 A.D. or to be born in.. say.. 7000 A.D.
1150 to join the Hospitaller Knights when it was founded in 1080 and join in on the Crusade so I can visit Jerusalem as it used to be. Plus, living back then would have rocked, especially in northern England. I'd love to have a nice little farm 
And of course 7000 A.D. , because we should have pew pew on our spaceships by then, and I'll get to be the navigational officer 
I'm sure we would have complete 3D gaming by then, including climate changes and *slight**** pain when encountering injuries. How completely bad ass would it be to play Oblivion, and actually wield the sword and dish/block blows? EPIC, epic I tell you.

14C Spain. Probably 1 of the most enlightened times and places. It's always interested me that a guy like Avicenna can by the age of 19, have codified all known medical knowledge and have written the 14 volume Canon of Medicine, the basis of western medicine till the early 20C. I keep wondering whether in the future our education will rival times like this. I hope so.
