Show info says "A book used to decrypt messages" and appears to be a commodoty. Being sold by alec v3 in Jita it appears to be a scam as when showing info on the contract link it says "commodoty".
Is this a scam or what?

of course its a scam. everything in Jita is a scam, dont be silly.
i actually saw him in there, its NOT a skillbook (it says right on the contract its a "Commodity") prolly a COSMOS mission item or some such, but there is NO skillbook that gives you all four Encryption skills as he claims, and if there WAS, it'd be a HELL of a lot more than 60 mil (considering that each individial skill is about 150mil IIRC)
Remember, if its on Contracts, its a scam.
If its offered in direct trade, its a scam
if you find it floating in a jetcan, oh you betcha its a scam.
if someone offers it for free, you better believe thats a scam
if nobody says anything about it, hooboy thats a scam
if everyone is talking about it, definetly a scam.......

Last bit was a rhetorical question, thankyou.
Seems the poor sod was scammed out of all his savings for that thing and is desperatly trying to flog it onto another poor sucker.
So, don't buy it!
Scamming is a part of a game, but so is being a bastard and rumbling these scams out.
