Not sure if this has been discussed or not...
A web-based skill management option would be nice for those of us who want to set a skill to train while we are at work, and do not have a client on our local pc here at work. I'm guessing it would be linked to the database somehow...

I think what they should do instead of a web interface would be a mini-client you could install on any computer. It would basically be like an Instant Messenger program - you would log in as a character, see who is online, chat with your corp, etc. It could ding you with alerts and such - even if it didn't give you controls, it could tell you when your skill training is complete, orders filled, etc.

I'd love to be able to log into eve remotely and adjust my trainings. Even if it doesn't allow for using new books, at least the option to change skills up during times where i cannot play.
Even at home, i'd use this as i might simply want to change the skill.

Whoops, got pulled over by the Search the Frickin Forums Police. I just now saw EveMon under the Skills forum - looks very cool. I take it from that thread, though, that clients don't do realtime stuff, like seeing if your friends are online. Oh well, maybe some day.

Oh well, if it was said before, so be it. Point is, it would be a nice feature. ---For those who live on the boards. |

vpn to home, boot up game, change skill, log off
Hell thats not hard but you got to have the priviliges ;P
Or do it the easy way and just set long skills before you go to bed/work eh.
A webinterface would be too exploitable, I know, I make them, hell I even build some bots for some text mmorpgs out there, it ruins everyone elses gameplay, I know, as I did it before lol.
nice try though
