I got around 16 missions and got the request to see my next "storyline" agent and I did it, but it was just one. After that he said he said that he doesn't need me or whatever. Is it really just usually one mission? I got a implant, but I was expecting like a chain of storyline missions. Do I just do regular missions to get another storyline chain possibly?

Edited by: Baka Lakadaka on 28/09/2007 06:29:36 Storylines happen after every 16 regular missions.
So it's back to the regular missions for a while.
You get a storyline for 16 missions of the same level and faction. You can change to a different corporation, but changing level, or faction will start the count over again.
On the positive side:- Storylines give a massive boost to faction standing and usually good rewards, plus you get a boost to your standing with the corporation of the storyline agent.

EVE mission rarely are a chain, even the storylines. To get a chain of missions usually you need to contact a COSMOS agent, but those missions are generally risky(the minmatar COSMOS agents in high sec are in the constellation with the Inder system, can't recall the name) or some semi rare mission with multiple episode given by normal and storyline agents.
PvE in EVE is not extrmly developed and the unique chain of mission are in a limited number.

Edited by: Kannuk on 28/09/2007 06:37:06 depends on the circumstance. the "every 15" stoylines are merely ways to suddenly boost your standing and make some fast cash. there are storyline-ish chain quests out there though, probably once you start getting in good with the L2 agents.

Most EVE missions, both standard and storyline, are currently one-offs but there are some multi-part missions for both too.
The ones you get seem to depend on a mix of chance, agent race, agent level and sod's law. IMHO the chance of getting a mission is inversely proportional to the degree to which you want to run it
Missions are supposed to be getting some tlc soon, which may increase the number of linked missions.
