Please disallow public channels for trial accounts!

Butzewutze	Posted - 2007.09.28 18:46:00 - [1] Hey there, i noticed that this Isk selling messages getting out of hand slowly. There are chats were nobody is talking, but every 1 - 2 minutes there is a "buy gold" announcement in the channels. Please ban trial accounts from public channels except the "rookiechannel". I think if u want this game with all its features u should pay for it... but dont let every idiot with a trial account into the public channels. Thanks

Petition them 2. block them 3. ignore them 4. dont go into public channels, or create your own and moderate it yourself. Or have the Devs code the restriction in so that trial account users cant go to Help or other channels to ask more specific help instead of the overly-bloated Rookie Help channel - Odd Pod Out, a blog of EVE Online

Everyone know's EVE is just a fancy dancy pretty version of MSN Messenger anyways! ------------------------------------------------ Anyone got a good compression tool for EVE sigs?

Thanks That would kind of screw over corporations like Eve University who WANT newbies to come to their public channels, wouldn't it?

Thanks Seems a bit of a silly idea tbh, ccp have been nice enough to give you an 'ignore' button. Just use it.

Just use it. Ignore is useless when you can have up to 10-40 different newly created alts doing it very hour or so. I can't believe CCP is happy to let their system bloat up like this (all those alts that will never last beyond a few hours). At the very least, have a 24 hour period before trade channels are available to an alt (much like the 24 hour period before acceptance into an alliance) This won't stop all of them, but will mean people wanting to post their ads have an annoying task of create char > wait till next day > post on char. Shouldnt have a terrible affect on noobs either.
