I am obviously not asking for people to post their best NPC BS Spawn locations (except Tzad .. he will give it to me or perish), but which NPC pirate nations regularly Spawn Battleships?
Are Guristas BS spawns the only regular ones? Or do all NPC rat types regularly spawn BSs if you should find the right spot and/or kill the cruiser spawns a sufficient number of times? In my experience Sansha BSs, for example, are incredible rare. Anyone have a clear cut idea about this?

YOu have to catch the NPC BS only in the pirate sovereignty areas, not just 0.0. For Sansha, it means the Stain region (you can check your map for the territory of Sansha's Nation). Not merely in Providence or Catch.
The others are Pure Blind/Venal (Gurista), GWP/Curse (Angels), Syndicate/Fountain (Serpentis), Querious (Bloods).

I believe Guristas at the moment. It seems completely unreasonable to expect that the other pirate factions have the same spawn capabilities and that nobody has found them. If they had then the market would be full of named 1400mm, neutrons and tachyons which it obviously isn't.
I've been searching for the Angel site with no luck. Annoying but there you go.

Gurista faction does indeed spawn BS very often.
I went 1 sector into 0.0 space, next to a 0.5, and there was 3 BS and lots of ppl battleling em :)
I guess you have to search for other race BS. But there's always concord's ships :P |

im sorry but this is wrong. NPC priate BS's will spawn in any 0.0 regions, but ive been told the chance of a bs spawning in none-pirate controlled space is alot less than say stain/fountain

Is the location within pirate controlled space particularly important? I understand that there are hotspots where good spawns occur regularly, but presuming one is within pirate controlled space BS spawns will indeed occur?

Forget about empire controlled space.
It's all about 5k rats.
Go to 0.4 and lower, you will find 12k-35k.
Go to 0.0, you will find BS.
There's no other way.
Oh, and btw, you don't have to go into "Pirate empire space". They can spawn anywhere. |

No one is talking about empire controlled space, and no one is talking about secure space.
I hunt all the time in 0.0 (indeed i never hunt anywhere else). I have, however, never seen an NPC Battleships. Given I am not hunting in guristas territory, but I am hunting where 85k Rats regularly spawn and i have never seen a Battleship.
Is there anyone who has seen regular Sansha's BS spawns? Were they only in GWP/Curse?
Is there anyone who has seen regular Serpentis Spawns?
Were they only in Syndicate/Fountain?

i know a spot were 2 85k + 3 40k rat'spawn ( still cruiser ) in 0.6.. it was posted on this forum so didn't find it my self

Good 0.0 sector, next to 0.5 sector named Torrinos.
They don't always spawn, but when they do, they get nasty |

Some systems fall below 0.0 security, the only way to find out is to loose a ship there and look at the report. The lower sec systems have more battleships and potentially better loot. I'm also told that having an npc pirate station in the system increases the chance of finding BS spawns, and what I've seen so far seems to support it.
