Another cool thing that I think would add to eve would be decoy pods. Maybe they take up a certain amount of space in your cargohold, and if your ship is destroyed, there are two pods to confuse pirates. Maybe it could be a low slot accessory that makes a decoy pod if you die. Personally, I think it would be neat if 2 pods were generated from a cruiser, and 3 from a battleship. I mean, what happens to the crew of the ship if you get killed? Do they all die? Give them a chance :)

A pod uses 1000m^3 in your cargohold. If you have room enough for one, you could probably put one in your cargohold and you'll get the desired effect. I heard it works that way for shuttles, and it's probably the same for pods.

As Scorpyn noted, a pod takes up 1000 cargo space... there are few ships with that cargo space.
I roleplay... there is this computer game called "Earth - The First Genesis" where i play a character in the early 21st century. |

yet another carebear idea that bites . you getting killed with implants on . and you get sent too the clone station . thats a punishment for being caught and killed .your supposed too be wise enough too aviod fights if you cant win . and if you think you gotta a chance and you lose . well bravely fought . try again another time .
but........ i think frozen corpses should be removed from the game . its too dark a concept for my liking . the thought that some creep has a corpse collection in his hanger that he admires /shiver .

not really . death is as natural to the world as birth. you come into the world . make a life as best your can . then when time decides that your number is up you pass away from the world . death isent evil . what you do inbetween decides whether youve lived a good or bad life in moral terms .

Frozen corpses are cool. I have a collection myself. I hang them up on the wall of my hangar, and shoot them with my paintball gun. Im working on a functional "Biomass Launcher", so i can send the corpses right back to their previous owner, stuffed with some TNT. Hope they have windshield wiper

Gaah ... I play Carmageddon, and put considerable time and effort into murdering pedestrians in the most artistic and humourous ways I can think of. It's irrelevant to real life.
I don't think carrying a pod in your cargo would work - wouldn't that appear inside a jettison can? So they'd just kill the pod that was visible.
A module of some sort, that launched a decoy pod when your ship exploded, is not a bad idea. Don't think many would use it, though, because it means you're packing one module on the assumption that you will get killed; better to pack it with something that might keep you alive.
