Quote: I agree. There are motherships popping nearly ony a daily basis (atleast on weekly). Can we get a stop for posting these things on the caod, atleast if its not a fleet of ms that got wiped out.
I disagree. With all of the dumb threats being started these days with pure speculation and nonsense it is nice to read about something that actually happened in game. Also, even though the moms are dying more frequently these days it is still a big deal for the corp/alliance that kills its first mothership.

Seemed like a week ago the death of a MS was big news (10th Mothership Destroyed!) Now they're starting to pop like carriers it seems

Congrats on the kill though.
Of course it was planned
Not much more to add for battle report though. The MS had been spotted during the week. We had good intel on its method of operation.
2 hours of tedious and sneaky cap moving ensued straight after downtime. Then it was a case of waiting for someone to take the bait.
When we saw the MS's cyno rapier jumping into system, we all got quite excited...and then the Nyx jumped in. Bait ship dropped cyno, and a whole heap of cap ships jumped on top if it.
We lost 3 dictors.

That is 5 Motherships in the month of September. Can we dub this mother "BlackMomma".

I was attacked by a few recons and a bs. Was doing fine in my abaddon. Unfortunately 'toys r us' felt the need to jump in a nyx to finish a solo BS.
This gave me no other option, I had to call in some alliance help and a few friendly locals.
The nyx died 2.5 minutes after his jumpin.

Congrats on the kill though.
Esspecially considering that CI is known to be using motherships in similiar conditions.
Nice executed kill. Grats CI.

Thats a fair accusation
I do recall quite recently, getting agro from 2 CVA BS in my vaga, just so Vegeta could drop a Nyx on them...bit of overkill really, but everyone does it

Edited by: WildSide on 29/09/2007 23:29:44 all respect to Espen ....he took it like a man. I rly hated to see it pop..as he was a personal friend of mine...oh well. atleast he risked it into 0.0...and had the balls to attack thingys, even it became hes undoing. _______________________________ Vids produced by me

Good kill, and respect to the pilot for taking it into combat,
Its a shame to see most motherships only hugging low sec choke points.
But I guess one mans food is another mans poison

Moms: overpowerd in lwosec (but killable)
greatly underpowered in 0.0
They could do with 5x the HP of their carrier counterpart and alot better defences.
