I hear alot of "whining" about the tech II components required to build some of the tech II components and the hard time obtaining them.
Think of it this way. If it was easy to obtain the components for the tech II items/ships it would in a very short time destroy the entire tech I market and the people with money would change to the people that got a good lottery ticket and received a bp.
All other BP's would in time get useless. So the people who bought original Tech I bp's wouldent have any use for them anymore.
So therefor i think its logical that it will be ALOT tougher to mass produce tech II items.
Just my thoughts. =)

I just hope people wont copy-sell the BP's en massÚ. Would be nice to see a war or two over a monopoly of certain ship types.

The problem isn't that the componants aren't there, its that the people who want the componants arent willing to do agent missions, and/or aren't willing to pay the high prices required to prompt other people into doing the agent missions.
In time some BP's will become useless, but then again alot of BP's already are useless. I mean who manufactures and sells civ shield boosters :-)
We are already seeing a massive increase in the componant needs of BP's already, going from our first BP (gravimetric backup array) which uses a few componants, trade goods and 1 morph, our most recent BP (10MN AB) uses 10 ion propulsion and 5 antimatter reactor which is no small number if you are going to mass produce it, and on top of that uses 4 morph (which is alot for such a small unit) the Gyro's use 6 morph which is even more for a smaller unit.
As for BPC sales, the recent patch prolongued the BP copy time to a lenght such that it is almost imposible to copy (would take aprox 14 days to do a 100 run gyro BPC) Because of this we should never see high run copys of the best BPC's and the market will resemble the battleship BPC market.

I sell bpc of Medium Amror Repairer II. It takes 5 hours a run. A 20 run bpc takes 4 days. I charge 1 mill a run for 20million a bpc. No worry here on pricing war!!!!
What you find is there are few items that are out there. The fewer the components the fewer Tech II. The more tech II bp's the higher the cost the higher the price.
New concept: Items are not worth thier mineral value. its based on demand. When you see smaller ships taking out larger ones you will see the biggest whine out there. 5 Incepters loaded with tech II will rule 0.0 --------------------------
Garsh ma it soo cool killing people in there space thingies |
