Some time ago, I think I saw a post about working for agents in a particular division would get u missions of that type 90% of the time. Is this still working in game?
The reason I ask is because I expected to get mostly kill missions from a Security division agent but so far I haven't gotten even one and I have gone through 10 missions so far; they have been all courier.
I will admit though that the courier missions have all been to bring secret reports, ammo, small arms etc.
Thanks in advance for the replies.

Just noticed that the agent was from Security division and not Internal Security Division. I think the kill missions come from Surveillance and Internal Security Division agents. I will test it out and and post back.

Security = kill missions
But not in effect. If you had read one of the numerous other threads on this, half of them started by others who, like you, dont bother to read what has already been discussed but instead start another thread, you would know that the effect of NPC-divisions has been suspended for the time being, and that it is random what missions you recieve. --------------------------------------------- When you have to kill a man, it takes nothing to be polite |

Before u decide to troll this thread, realize that I have already read the threads you speak of AND that in my own experience, divisions are working on the agents I do missions for.
It is ALSO working for members of my corp as well.
AND, every since I moved to the Internal Security agent I just found, I have got nothing but kill missions.

Zrakor on the devisions: Linkage
"Division only matters when comparing R&D vs everything else. [...]the code for all of the non r&d missions is based on corp type, not division type."

Right after that he said: "This may change in the future." As the post is almost 2 months old you never know :P

Divisions dont matter. After the last patch what was is no more. It use to be for a couple weeks that navy and such corp got kill missions and other got courrier or mining if you had a mining corp. Now as I say this it could be changed today. You can tell when you sign on. If there is a delay things changed if not its the same as yesterday. YIKES I play too much. --------------------------
Garsh ma it soo cool killing people in there space thingies |

FAQ says otherwise. That's the first place I go to find EVE info. They need to ditch that info, or put in some editing, or something. I haven't played EVE in a while, and would have started specifically looking for combat missions in an NPC corp myself.

Edited by: Wraeththu on 18/02/2004 22:26:28 Non R&D Divisions do not affect missions.
Currently broken corp mission percentages affects mission selection. -- TomB: End the speed-race. 1 propulsion mod allowed, make turrets affect ship attributes like +speed/+ab speed +agil for progressivly smaller/lighter turrets, -speed/-ab speed -agil for long-range. |

I'm not so sure they are broken any more. At least for me the last fridays (13.feb.2004) database maintenance seems to have fixed the mission distribution. Before last friday my lvl 3 Gallente navy agent gave me lots of courier missions and even one important mining mission and only a few kill missions, but since last friday i've mostly gotten kill missions and 1 or 2 courier missions per night. ----- Sable's Ammo Shop at Alentene 5, Moon 4, Duvolle Laboratories Factory. I still get 50%+ courier missions with my gal navy agents and IM-Minings. So it's borked. Whether or not it's broked for all agents, or just the navy, i'm not sure. I was going to go test that, but RL got in the way. -- TomB: End the speed-race. 1 propulsion mod allowed, make turrets affect ship attributes like +speed/+ab speed +agil for progressivly smaller/lighter turrets, -speed/-ab speed -agil for long-range. |
