Loved Freelancer? Did the ending leave you believing there is a sequel required?
Well then click the link in my sig and sign the petition. The original creator of the petition says that at least 20,000 signatures are required, now I don't know what he meant by that but maybe its a short measure of hope, maybe not. But what have we got to lose!

/signed! I still remember Priv 1/2 and Freelancer as THE best space ship games for me. I was a Wing Commander fanboi back in the day ... and I totally loved the "open endedness" of the priv/freelancer universe. Fact is, when I started playing eve it was cuz a friend told me it was like Privateer haha, and I was "OMG, can u buy stuff somewhere and then see the news about someone being blown up and needing blood to transport?" and he said " err ... YES!!!" , I totally bought my first month of eve without even playing it or knowing it well haha. Wish eve had more Trade Like Routes missions , couriers are a sad attempt at that :/ , sorry for the rambling.

I only started playing eve because i was playing freelancer online and kept getting disconnected and got the hunger for multiplayer spaceships

Way I see it, is 200,000 is the amount of subscribers in EVE at the moment. If we can get like 6000 more signatures, that would be great.

I loved Freelancer as well, even though it was a Microsoft product. Signed and delivered.
And yes, Freelancer was a great game as far as I was concerned. My only gripe of course was the repetitive repetitive repetitive cutscenes when you went into a bar or something. I kind of miss that rofl. And I never got to finish it either, maybe I will go out and buy a cheap copy if there are any available.

Besides, one of the winning points of Freelancer was its unique (if slightly under-developed) use of the mouse for space combat.
