Because nobody is 1v1. The worst solo fight I've had was versus somebody with 10 logi that bridged to a Megathron the moment it scrammed and webbed me.........I think it was an awesome laugh but really, 1v1111111 or nothing.

Right. I remember some tards saying 'we knew those pussies don't fly alone!!1one' after seeing my alt. They were pretty OK with the fact that there were like 5 or 6 of them, though. Damn Pharisaism.

Pure solo here, yes it can sometimes be hard to get a fight because people suspect backup but that leads to less fights rather than over blobbing... If they wanted to do that they would anyway. Also any larger gang that cares about 'how' solo you are are just bads.

With 150m SP + Pirate implants many in RvB have (not even kidding) boosts can do a lot. |

The majority of my kills are solo and didn't involve any kind of fleet boosts or logistics but some people have insisted that because I have so few losses on battleclinic I must have a logistics blob following me around 24/7 when the reality is that when I'm not doing war **** the people that I shoot at aren't people who actually stand a chance of winning in the first place. You don't need a fleet booster and guardian alt to kill a month old character flying an armor tanked heavy missile raven.
Also why would I fly a punisher if I had an RR alt? |

Solo PvP is about combat awarness, you kill what you know you would, and you run away if you know you dont have an chance..
So no heroes there, just the calculators 
Altho there are some "persons" who would engage vagabonds in rifter

RvB is about camping the enemy HQ's undock in faction cruisers/battleships
the time of frigate/destroyer brawls that were actively balanced through cooperation of both FCs has been long over (at least in EU TZ)
people changing from red to blue et vice versa to balance out activity in their respective TZs would probably only get you labeled as a traitor and/or spy in today' atmosphere.
I think the turning point was when 3rd party WTs started to farm RvB for easy kills and RvB pilots found that their frigates and cruisers have huge trouble taking on the dramiel/vagabond/cynabal camping them, no matter how the numbers look like.
At that point RvB pilots shipped up into expensive ships themselves and got their main's involved - who wouldn't like to be looked up to by a dozen newbies as he undocks a Bhaalgorn (a hundred times more expensive than everything they have ever flown) to guarantee their safety?
Nowadays RvB is more about winning and hating on the other side than about good-natured brawls. Not sure if it could generate another Major Trant (player joins RvB after one month in EVE and becomes a great FC by running fleets almost every single day, not afraid of anything) under these circumstances  |

Have you ever flown solo before? 99% of the time particularly if you are a noob ( I honestly think it is 99% of the time because I don't think I've ever seen a situation where I'd survive even if I had a tech 2 ship so I'm not even messing you about here with a bullshit statistic ) you will be forced to run away because chances are the person who has their guns aimed and ready to lock onto you will be in either a battleship or some sort of tech 2 cruiser.
This game doesn't even allow you to have combat awareness skills for one simple reason, the enemy has already spotted you on local because they all get free intel on your whereabouts so if you suddenly pop in they'll know you'll have jumped in from a gate, you'll be immediately scanned down if you don't move quick enough and chances are they'll have warp bubbles on two gates before you even get anywhere near them. Do you know what combat awareness even is?
To call EVE Online fun is a pathetic case of denial, to claim it requires skill a fallacy.

Real, honest 1v1's are dead because of ecm drones anyway.
Realized the other night that even if you're using eccm you can still get permajammed by one battlecruiser that's using ecm drones. Boosting alts are just one problem with solo pvp. |

Of course there is a huge difference between 'solo' and '1v1'. The former is up to you, the latter isn't, and if you want engagements you have to learn to fight larger numbers or at the very least learn to split them up and kill off the scout/lead/bait before the rest land.
If you expect 1v1 when you solo then you are just being unrealistic.

I am still ahving a lot of trouble with this. >.< No matter what i do, the rest of the gang is usually smarter then me and I get caught. Have been getting a little better, but my current situation means that I am out of practice again. *sigh* I wanna come back to brosec :P
