Quick battle reports -
Hydra gang of 100+ enters Deklein, our gang forms up, at the start it was pure snipers, we were outnumbered, but it was obvious a close range gang wasnt going to engage us at range, we circled around them making them jump back and forth.
We then resecured VFK while they held in 2R on the VFK gate, whoevers capitals were available got in them and waited. Our sniper fleet then circled around to 2R again while our capital fleet remained quiet. As our snipers forced them into VFK our capitals warped in with support and engaged them dealing quite heavy losses, while our sniper fleet took up position. Alot of their fleet jumped back into 2R where our sniper fleet again circled around to engage them once more, they again were forced to jump into our capitals, this is where we sandwiched them... a sniper fleet with dictors one side and a capital fleet with dictors the other.
They were simply outgunned. Saying this it is INCREDIBLY refreshing to have a massive fleet come to us for once, and HYDRA and Crax, thankyou fellas was very good fun.

Well props to you for coming out in numbers in the interest of fun.
I think in the end it wound up being about 80 Tri vs. about 100 Hydra. It was kind of hard to get a lot of info because we jumped in ships and started moving so quickly. Basically Hydra's Domi/Raven/Drake fleet didn't want to engage at 150 so they kept jumping between VFK and 2R-, with our snipers looping around repeatedly to get a superior position. Ultimately they got quite sandwiched by snipers in 2R- and a 16-cap/support fleet in VFK, with dictors holding everyone down.
Lag was minimal for me, and I ewarped once, but a few reported more lag mostly on the vfk side.

Good fight to all involved, except lag of course. Thanks for rolling out against a 100+ fleet, don't know many other alliances that would have done. Good tactics to Tri, top marks to you on that.

Great fight tonight lads, was really fun. Best blop fight iv had in a while, even if we did get owned, hehe.
(Almost as fun as the fight itself, getting out through the capital blob in my falcon after the fight had finished, hehe)

Report from my view:
I was really glad to escape their snipers and to reach the other side of the gate, as the capital trap snaps and 3 carriers put their fighters on me. As my armor startet to melt (despite 70% resis at all) I tried to warp into the sun or a planet near to that. As soon as the bubble went off I pushed warp and jumped. As I came out of warp the drones finished me and now Im in a pod deep in deklein. Bahh I should have used an empty clone, but to much alcoholic drinks... Tomorrow we will see....
lost over 60 ships lololo....epic defeat....

i have fraps of the first capital-side engagement, i had to go afk unfortunately so i probably missed a bunch. i'll see what i've got.
edit: after watching the first 30 seconds of fraps i had, i realized that i left the camera zoomed in too much. couldnt see anything our guys were shooting at :( worthless.

Heh I miss the old days of huge fleet battles. What would be fun is if two alliances decide on a time and place for a fight, everyone warps in and gets situated, then wait for the lag to end, THEN fight. That'd be some epic fraps :P

I'm a total noob (less than 4 mil SP), new to Hydra and new to fleet ops in general (Yes, I should have stayed in station). PvP was the reason I started EVE in the first place and I've been waiting the last few months to be in one of these ops, always reading jealously on the forums about epic battles on the other side on the universe. We were uber pwned but I'd rather my BS was blown up than sat in a station. Lag was not so bad I couldn't see anything but bad enough to mean my overview didn't work :(
Thanks to Tri for making this so fun and letting me see your caps and thanks to Hydra for being so patient with my 'scouting' Raven and lack of vent ;)
More of the same next weekend please.

They came to one of our station systems with 120+ people and a handful of cyno ships so we dropped carriers on them. We were outnumbered too so it's hardly blobbing.
This would be the first time to my memory that we have used capships on anything less than other capships as an alliance.

Lets not start adding extra numbers and myths to the facts ,there where 110 mainly bs's and small support ships at no time did we carry or intend to use cyno's this was just a fun op to see if we could get some decent pvp
I would like to say GF to Triumvirate. they put up a excellent fight and deserved to win ,hope we can do it again some time soon (was nice not to see nano ship)

Not to start a fight or anything....if noone carried or intended to use cyno's, then why are there KMs for Hydra ships carrying liquid ozone? Only other uses I can think of are POS, which they didnt plant, or jump portals at pos, of which they have none near us (least I think that one uses ozone) :P

of course the prob of those is that when you (we) attack a "home system" its normal to defend it with all our(your teeth)
wont ever go in "fight fair fight without guns" kind of crap :p

Aye, I mentioned the pos bridges to cover my own ass, realized while in class that noone looted a cyno gen, or saw one on KM, so for that I apologize, simply realized it too late :)
As for the capitals, 19 is kinda weak, a large portion of what we could have had out were in snipers and didnt feel like changing, they didnt think you guys would jump into caps and wanted to be on as many kills as they could :)
I do appreciate yall comin over to say hi though, ended up being great fun once we got the silly jumping in circles thing ;)

No alliance or corp gang i've ever been in has dropped caps on anything less than other capships, except this one.
Edit: If it was for jump bridges then i retract my cyno comment. You(they) still brought 100+ people to a system of ours, so it doesn't really matter either way.

One time....in Venal....you guys dropped 2 carriers on our 18 man frig gang...then warped away from the abaddon that cyno'd you in and we had him in structure by the time you warped back in...that was teh fun. up by Kh or some **** like that....about 6 jumps from H-PA. Ninja'd a few fighters to iirc.

I think you'll find that we'd been sniping while heavily outnumbered for a while
