Trying to fit out a dominix for PVE, for remote repping. This ship/character will be mostly afk, following my dps ship around, so I'd like a cap stable repping ship with a decent passive tank, so that I do have to press to many keys.
Currently I have something like:
Dominix
Large Remote Armor Repair System I Large Remote Armor Repair System I Drone Link Augmentor I Salvager I Salvager I Large Tractor Beam I
Large Peroxide I Capacitor Power Cell Medium Peroxide I Capacitor Power Cell X5 Prototype I Engine Enervator Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II
Large Armor Repairer II 1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I 1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane I Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane I Capacitor Power Relay I Damage Control II
Rigs : Empty Slot \ Empty Slot \ Empty Slot \
5469 shield, 5.47/s, E/T/K/Ex=12/29/47/64 17533 armor, E/T/K/Ex=74/59/59/43 5960.0 cap, +26.22/s, -176.502/s 132.0 m/s 0.0 DPS
I can't keep cap up with 1 large remote repper running, and not even close with 2. I'm not very good at fitting, so I'd appreciate anyone's ideas about making this a better setup.
Forgot to mention I have 5 remote repair drones, as well as 5 med, light, heavy drones in the bay. Also have a hardwiring for 3% capacitor use reduction when remote repping.

Edited by: Qui Shon on 01/10/2007 13:34:20 There's a handy rig called Remote Repair Augmentor, which can solve all your cap problems.
Energy grid upgrades 4 would be a good skill to train for that character as well, assuming you didn't just enter cap relay I instead of cpr II for convenience's sake.

I tossed three of the remote repair augmentor rigs on, and ran it through cap simulation on quickfit. Also changed the power relay to t2 - I only have lvl 3, but can train to lvl 4 pretty quickly. I run out in around 420 seconds.
Ill try replacing the second battery with a third cprII.

Hmm. Having checked in EFT, even a T2 large battery is worse then another CR2.
Low: 1x Cap Power Relay II Med: 4x Cap Recharge II High: 2x Large Remote reppers Rigs: 3x RemoteRep Aug
Energy skills 5/4, Remote Rep skill as low as 3 and EFT says it's cap stable with two Solaces.
In case EFT is wrong, my alt has RemRep at 4 and she might have a 3% cap implant, don't remember for sure, but I know she can run 2 Solaces at least longer then any mission takes.

Edit: with that change, it looks like my cap holds indefinitely, but only once I get to 50% cap. Note, I'm testing this in quickfit, not in game, and without the webber running. Is there some cap regen bonus at 50%? I remember reading something about shield recharge at 30%, never anything about cap...
Same as with shields, your maximum cap regen rate will be when it's around 30-35%. Some 2.4-2.5 times what you get when you divide cap amount with regen time.

This is some great info. I'm going to go home and try it out tonight.
How much do those rigs generally run, do you know?

5 T2 armor rep drones repair aproximately 20% more than a T2 large repper. I doubt there is a real need for 2 large remote reppers in the high slots if you train for those.
Or vice versa, use the large reppers in highs and pack sentries, heavies and mediums for additional DPS.

I'd go with as many reppers as you can perma-run, and put a tank in your lows. Sure, running the remote and the local reps would break your cap, but if you're taking the damage, your buddy isn't. ------------------------------ One more soldier off to war... And one Velator in my hangars. |

Just curious, how do i calculate the dps repped by this ship? I think we came up top 168 dps, but I have no idea if thats right or not.
1 large t2 remote repper, 5 t1 heavy drones.
Thanks.

My friend can do 222 with a less-than-perfect setup. ------------------------------ One more soldier off to war... And one Velator in my hangars. |
